I wanted a character not Steve Rogers but a highly trained solider to carry the name in the Great War.

He's not a super solider his equipment is not extra special.
The man and equipment wear out or die and are replaced.
The Army needs a Legend to walk among them to rally them to action when they are weary and cold. They need an officer to lead the charge they need Captain America.

Honestly . . .
This is my favorite out of what you posted in the last month (and there have been some REALLY sweet-ass figures).
Well worth copying. And like I've said I would really like to see some WWI soldiers to go along with him.
Kudos!!

Fantastic. I agree with John on this being one of your best. I enjoyed your Bats in this style, but good-ole Cap takes the cake.

I love Captain America, and think this is really, really, really (did I say "really" enough?) cool! It is neat to see liberties being taken with existing characters, sort of like the 'Bat-Man Legends' that DC did many moons ago... Kudos on a job well done!

I'll add my 2 cents in with everyone else here and say that this is probably my new favorite figure that you have done. Just an awesome ide, and flawless execution.

gotta go with the crowd on this, Joe -- another excellent creation -- the doughboy helmet is fantastic, and the bullet damage to the shield is awesome, too --

i love this theme you're exploring -- i hope to see more of these from you!

First, I have to say that I've always been intrigued with WW1, it's a piece of history that doesn't get enough time in the spotlight. And of course I'm stoked for the new Capt. America!

Your concept is fantastic and looks the part, if he were to exist in that era... Nice Work.

Yeah, this is really nice. Can't think of any way to make the actual fig better, but him riding a horse with similarly patriotic gear and bridle would be beyond awesome.

Can we expect VietNam Cap? Revolutionary Cap? Would that guy be better named as 'Captain Colonies'? I hesitate to even contemplate a Civil War Cap.

I would think that Civil War Cap would side with the Union. The Confederate states could have their own version called Captain Confederate. Hmmmmmm might just have to make me one of those now.

What I would REALLY like to see is Joe tackle a bunch of Captains from other countries. There was an episode of Super Hero Squad where Cap has a whole team of Captains from other countries, and he brings Wolverine in as Captain Canada. It was hillarious, but I would like to see a bunch of Different Caps like that though.

They did that in The Ultimates. Regrettably, they were all bland background characters. :-/

Thats why I want to see Joe take em on. With that genius brain he's got I know he would come up with some really cool costumes for them.
