I toss my hat into the ring. When a comic artist pimps JoeCustoms while laying down a challenge, I have to bring the A game...or at least a B+.

Head: 25th Viper heavily modified
Upper body: 25th Cobra Trooper
Thighs: Spy Troops Agent Faces
Lower legs: 25th Viper
Chest armor: Spy Troops Shipwreck with Steel Crusher sticker
Shoulder pads: Clone Wars troopers
Strap with holster: Indiana Jones and BBi
Gauntlets: Apoxie sculpt with vinyl straps
Cape: Emperor Royal Guard with green stuff
Pistols: Chap Mei

awesome work pluv. The chest armor was a great choice.

If this is what it takes to get you pumping out more customs, then I vote for a new Atkins contest every month. lol.

Nice to see some turnout for this one. Wish I had a little less going on personally to have been able to play along.

I really dig the chest armor and the gauntlets. The painting is smooth and the working holster is a nice touch. Great job!

I think you did a much better job staying true to the design intent & your arm work is fantastic! going black on your helmet was a real inspired choice!

Fantastic! I also like the black helmet choice, it's neat to see some variety. Im also diggin' the chest strap with the holstered gun on his side. Very cool!

Very nice.

I've seen a lot of these recently and this one's right up there in terms of faithfulness to the reference pics t5hat have been circulating.

Anyone want to fill me in on who Krake is/was before he got this job?

Krake was created by Dixon specifically for this roll. All we know is that he is completely ruthless and an expert marksman. He's supposed to get more of a back story in the GI Joe Annual coming out later this month I think. He had to kill the most Joes to become the Commander so they set him up as a kill you first, then tell you his plans kind of bad ass.

I like that you went a different route. Actually that is what I like about all the entries.

The spytroops armor is a great idea, but does come off a little bulky. I think if the legs had a little more bulk, that that wouldn't be as obvious. Using parts from 25th, spytroops, VvV, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, etc is great. I love seeing all the different parts used here.

Forearm guards look good. That seemed to be the hardest part to find an existing part that would work.

I like it. Nice work on making the teeth on the helmet small and long enough to be seen, but not be oversized.

Nice work. I really like the chest piece use. I'm surprised how much I actually like the new Cobra Commander design.

Not bad, man! I like the overall look, but the chest armor looks a bit big on the body... Otherwise, great CC!
