This took me about a week to complete. There is a mix of purchased, modified and handmade items.

The floors are made from popsicle sticks cut and laid down. The wall panels are made of foam board and large and small wood popsicle sticks.

Thanks for the compliments. It took me some time to figure out how to work the walls. I first made the Destro mask in the box and came up with the idea for an office. Afterwards everything just began to pour out. The last pieces that I needed arrived this morning. The rug, alcohol bottles, safe, books and chess set came from Dollhouse Collectibles.com.

That is excellent! The removable walls absolutely bring this to the next level. I'll have to check out that website for my own large diorama project. What are the metal gun rack walls made from?

What is that conniving Nick Fury doing visiting Destro? And what is that conniving Destro doing with a creepy mustache?

The walls for the gun rack were made out of corrugated paper spray painted with Kyrlon Hammered Steel.

Nick Fury is investigating rumors that Mr. McCullen's company, M.A.R.S., has been selling weapons to enemy combatants. Just as Fury connived Tony Stark and his company for weapons, he does the same thing to Mr. James McCullen (an honest businessman).

i want the chess set.

Seriously a few points.

1. the office looks awesome for sure but i will say the impression i get from this is that destro is more a petty arms dealer as opposed to a big time one (don't know if anyone will agree).

2. In the baroness thread i agreed with Spin that the dress didn't really work as an evening gown (the double slits and also teh break in the torso to waist joint makes it less like a dress illusion wise) and in the context of the office it sort of promotes the notion that this is a small time arms dealer cause the baroness looks more like a generic ho so to speak.

Hope this isn't insulting cause as i said the office looks awesome.

This is not insulting in any way. I through this together in a week and was spawned when I created the Destro mask in the box in the corner. As for the petty arms dealer as opposed to a big time arms dealer, how would you tell the difference? You are right that the Baroness looks like a ho, but that was kind what I wanted. Thanks for the compliments and comments.

Cool.

still haven't told me where i can get the chess set though

the three main things that point this into a petty arms dealer direction for me are:

a. the size of the office (of course scale constraints and room are considerations but it seems an office that size makes it seem more like a destro regional shop-where destro wouldn't be so much as say voltar or metalhead would be.

b. the guns hidden behind the walls while wicked cool again suggest this is more a fly by night type operation as opposed to a reputable big time dealer who has his weapons at a warehouse.

c. the ho baroness is definitely petty in a sense. I think that if you are just going for "ho" it works since the evening gown isn't really a "ho" staple costume. At the same time i don't really see the baroness wearing it because she either looks classy sexy or has a somewhat utility friendly skin suit for assassinating. She could wear it for destro but not in public. So in that sense i don't really see a baroness custom here and especially an evening gown one. As a stand alone ho in a slutty outfit it does work very well.

Hope this made sense.

I love this set. I will say I at least get what Rasputin is saying, but that's only in terms of scope. In an office scaled accurately (which never happens with a playset anyway), you'd expect more grandeur. And weapons would be more of the mass destruction type.

But that's with realistic scale, which ain't happening, so I totally get it.

Honestly, I see this as Destro's office on his cruise ship which he sets off in for international sales. And the guns on the walls are just prototypes for warlords in various countries to choose from. They don't come in and by a rifle for $1000 - that would be ghetto. lol. They see the rifle they want to arm their forces with, drop off a suit case filled with cash and order 20,000 of them. Clearly, the WMDs are in the cargo bay... ;)

I love the sliding panel idea though. For me, this is most likely to get implemented in a secret lair type of set up. Hit the right button, and whamo there's Knighthawk's Paladin armor kind of thing.

Love the ideas in here.

I know you gave the site for where the books came from, but I didn't see the actual book case there. Did they have those too, or did you make that?

I'm going to infer that the pics don't do this piece the justice it deserves.

The details here are fantastic. Superbly done, brother.

Thanks, love the ideas that you came up with. Honestly, I was not think that far or even as far as Rasputin did. I kind came up with the idea on the spur of the moment. If I had taken more time, and used more of the base material, I could have made some huge office with elaborate escape routes and other secret panels. I just wanted to have a place for my Destro mask. I split and hollowed out an 83 Destro head to make it look removable (corner of the room beneath the stuffed buzzard). I will take a photo of that and show the details later. The reason that I kept it the size I did was that I have so many customs, that I am running out of room. Seriously, they have taken over my apartment.

To answer your quest, the book case was hand made out of tongue depressor size craft sticks and small 1/8th inch square dowel rods.

thx dude (ah link just in case if you can?)

i want to just again state that the office is awesome. the idea with the panels is really cool as well and of course i understand as with all of us had we had the room the office would be bigger, fancier, and would in fact be part of a large scottish destro castle that fits all of the IG vehicles and troops and has a few bedrooms for cobra commander and a prison cell for joes etc.
sadly we never have the place or space for this :(
