"Miss Swan's Regret"

Stolen from the "Tortuga's Raiders" flagship, the "Black Pearl", the repulsorlift gunship now dubbed "Miss Swan's Regret" was Captain Jak Sparrow's personal attack craft during his time as pirate lord of his former fleet. Now it serves as his only means of transport and his only hope of evading the vengeful Captian Ioz, currently in command of the Pearl and it's fleet. Sparrow, with his first mate (and most loyal friend) Abascus Gibbs, sail the 23 seas of Aquos in search of a new crew, a means of regaining his command of the Tortugas Raiders, and of course- more rum!

"Miss Swan's regret" is armed with four foreward-facing fire-linked blasters, two double load concussion missile launchers, and a multi-directional triblaster turret, It also sports two high performance engines to provide propulsion and a sometimes faulty repulsorlift unit which requires frequent repairs.

Along the rear wall of the pilot's station is a weapons rack containing an electrostaff, a battered shield and a long range rifle. There is additional storage under a grate in the center of the main deck, but it usually contains nothing but rum bottles (most of them emptied by Captain Sparrow).

Wickedly cool. I'd love to see a match-up of Jabba's skiff v/s this. I always enjoy customs fro your 'verse, and this one is right in line. Give us more, Specs!

I love the detailing. Keeping the hull design seems like you're carrying the theme a bit too far, but I can't say it looks bad either. Plus I'd think Jak would be the type to carry the theme as far as it could go. Might as well throw a magnetic retractor in the front where an anchor would go.

The general design motif for Aquos is "pirate" (very similiarly to the old Marvel "Star Wars" comics that featured space pirates, of which this entire line is an homage) so most elements of the culture will be piratey with some sci-fi trappings. There will be some non-pirate-looking vehicles, but they will belong to the constabulatory forces, which are all off-worlders, and some mercs/bounty hunters that call Aquos home.

I had debated adding something in place of an anchor very early in the design phase but decided against it because these vehicles travel above the seas, not on them and do not really need to drop anchor. They just set the repulsorlifts and thrusters to station-keeping to park :)

I am glad everyone is getting a kick out of this ship so far :)

Love the look of this ship.
My only nitpick is the missiles standing out. I'd maybe paint them a dulled black color to look kind of like cannonballs and have an accent color on them. :)

I don't think there's enough contrast between the color of the wood and all that coppery metal and detail work....It leaves the whole boat feeling a bit too happy and monotone....the wood might benefit from a couple more black washes. I imagine it'd match up with Jack Sparrow better too.

:slow clap:

I agree with the black wash. Cool idea.

Performing some thread necromancy to bring this thread back to the first page to go along with my most recent repulsorskiff, Niddler's revenge!

This one and your other one are very cool. It makes me want to do some sort of steampunkish ship, but all I can think of is something for Zanzibar.
