Alright, here is a quick figure that started to come together yesterday. I shaved down the LJ collar so that the vest will fit properly. Painted the torso and covered to the whole figure with semi-gloss to blend everything together. Fairly straight forward.
The big question I have is should I dremel out the helmet to fit a head for the unmasked look or is it sometimes better to just leave well enough alone?
I don't know.
Thanks for the feedback.

I'd replace the feet before I got too deep into fudging with the head.

How does she look with the vest on? Viper's neck is pretty short as it is.

I'd replace/repaint the feet too. Seems like it needs some blue.
I'm curious for the "vest on" look as well.
Replacing/dremeling out the helmet? Hm, depends on what YOU like and what you want. If you like her, leave her this way. If you have serious doubts, take a spare Viper head and try it so you can compare them next to each other.
Personally, I think she's just fine. If I had to change anything about the head, I'd just add a pony/pig tail on the back of her head, coming from underneath the helmet.
Btw, very cool idea and execution, this female viper!

well done for a RAH figure. I say if you're happy leave her as is and as for unmasked , not every figure needs to be that way

Looks real good. I have a cast viper head that's already hollowed out if you need it. Send a PM if you want.

Here are some photos of the figure with and without the vest on. She is also sporting a modified ME Pack. The newer stuff is so much more detailed and I think I like modifying those pieces to fit RAH figures.

Hard to say on this one. With the vest on, it just looks like a regular (male) Viper. However, that's probably what would happen "in real life". I actually like the figure better without the vest.

I don't see the foot problem, though. The feet look fine.

looks perfectly fine with the vest on, actually nicer than a molder one that is RAH but as Past said just says a male viper that way though, but on the field she needs some protection

Yeah, it's kind of a catch 22. It's very realistic with the vest (as they don't really tailor military battle armor to be sexy http://newsblaze.com/pix/2008/0823/pix/MAJ_SONAK.jpg ), but it doesn't look much different than a standard Viper. But if you took the vest off, you'd lose the realism.

And I actually like the feet. I know everyone hated them when they were used for the Viper Pit packs, but they actually work for a female figure.

I don't disagree, but I can't help wondering how some Zarana boots might look on this.

Alright. I took the plunge and went for dremeling out the viper helmet. I then found a SW Leia figure for the female viper head. Her hair is very nicely exposed, but not so much that it interferes with the pack. The head is also a good size to fit into the dremeled out helmet. I have to say that I love how it displays with the vest in hand. Just how I would imagine a viper trooper coming or going to the field/ patrol.
I did also try the lower legs of Zarana and it just didn't look right in the viper ranks. So, she retains the newer viper boots to maintain continuity.

Looks good, head is a little small - but I know how hard it is to find the right sized female head to fit into a helmet.

I would take a look to see if you can find some smaller boots.
