I've been wanting to do these both for a long while and was just inspired to knock them out in the past few days. I can't believe how good the ARAH Mindbender head worked for Scarab! I'm enjoying finding some real gems in my ARAH head sculpt fodder... with a little paint those really hold up well!

I omitted Scarab's large chest jewel so he can better fit in with Cobra's ranks, and Vanessa needs her Whip mask. Trying to figure out what might work for that in this scale.

Wow these are awesome. Super interested in seeing more! Love the MASK, and especially the Bionic Six love. I was addicted to that show and toyline as a kid.

WOW! These are awesome. I love the Dr. Scarab. I have a 4/5 completed Scarab on my desk that I haven't been inspired to finish... Until now! Thanks a lot. I had a lot of work to do this weekend too. Damn.

scarab looks good, must be before my time though don't know him, Vanessa is totally awesome, perfectly done on her and she looks really good there with Miles

Thanks! I really noticed in your WIP thread a while back we have really similar design ideas and character choices. Really liked your Madame O concept and look forward to seeing how you tackle Scarab!

Thanks! Slowly, slowly learning about sculpting. Ended up fusing the upper and lower torso together this one, which was a minor disappointment. And the button came out much "softer" than they looked prior to painting, but that white just needed so many coats to go on even at all. I do think I'm getting better bit by bit though!

I'm realizing I'm amassing quite the Evil Doctor collection, with Dr. Claw, Horrible, Scarab... got a "poor man's" Dr. Venom based on the collectors club version in the works, think I'm going to take a crack at an updated Mindbender design with a bit of an "evil orthodontist" look...

Are there any other relatively modern "bad guy" Doctors you guys can think of? I could do Dr. Evil, I suppose... :)

I like the Vanessa alot. A number of folks (myself included) have pieced them together with the old 25th Scarlett, but yours with the ROC Scarlett bodie makes me rethink that.

Thanks guys.

I'm very envious of all the great M.A.S.K. work that's come before mine and can't claim to have pioneered the idea at all, so I try to do the figures I get around to as originally as I can... the 25th Scarlett body certainly works well for Vanessa but I really just started painting the dark blue on the ROC Scarlett to see it it would work, and really liked the initial results. I try to do a mix of "true to the original design" with a little "artistic license" thrown in when I tackles characters like this... glad to see they're well received.

Found your M.A.S.K. wips on the forum, Dream, did you ever finish any of those? They were looking amazing!

Nope. I didn't get much done beyond whats there. But now you've got me thinking about them so I'll probably have to get cracking on them again.
