Custom Dreadnok figure, code name: Throttle
Specialty: Motorcycle mechanic

Mini-Bio: When the Dreadnok's put the word out that they needed a mechanic to work on their bikes, they had no idea that someone like Throttle would respond! As part of his "initiation", Throttle was told he had to bring a brown paper bag (provided by the 'Noks) back to them, full of stolen money. When he returned five-minutes later with TWO sacks full, he told them that he had been robbing gas stations and carry-outs all the way from Chicago to the Everglades, just in case he needed some "fun money" when he got there!

Throttle can tear apart and rebuild an engine, making it rumble like the day it rolled off the assembly line, in a matter of hours. He enjoys listening to loud metal music while he works, saying the guitar riffs and screaming get his juices flowing, and thus "energizing" him. Afterwards, he likes to ride with his new "mates", causing mayhem and stealing whatever he desires everywhere he goes with them. His weapons of choice are his shotguns, saying the sound from each blast "is music to his ears".

On a side note, Zartan has always been suspect of new comers to his Dreadnoks, saying he wouldn't put it past GI Joe to try to infiltrate his group, just as they had done to the Joes. However, Throttle quickly earned his trust, as well as his respect for the way he fixes motorcycles. Now, Throttle is the only person, Dreadnok or otherwise, who is allowed to touch Zartan's chopper without being given expressed permission to do so.

Definitions of the word throttle: 1) the mechanism by which the flow of a fluid is managed by constriction or obstruction. 2) to have the throat obstructed so as to be in danger of suffocation; to choke; to suffocate.
*Either of these definitions could be the reason this Dreadnok chose the name Throttle, as he enjoys working on engines, as well as choking anyone who crosses him!

Parts:
Head, lower arms and head-dress/rag thingy: SW Rancor Keeper, Malakili
Torso, upper arms: 25th Bazooka
Legs, feet: RoC Night Adder
Shotguns: various Joe figures, can't remember which though
Motorcycle: West Coast 1/18th scale "Diablo"

Not so much a hunchback, but a bit of a neck issue, making him appear to be lurching somewhat.

Thanks for the feedback on the figure guys.

Gotta love Dreadnoks!

How's about a recipe?

Like the custom lots.

LOVE the name.

Not 100% sold on the head dress, but that's a relatively minor nit.

Most excellent use of the Malakili head and cowl. Gives that 'Nok a really distinctive look. I love it.

Looks good. I really like the shading/stubble.

I've been holding on to that same head for awhile trying to think on how to use it. I'm not a huge fan of the hood thing, but it certainly adds character, which is the point, I am sure.

I may be out in LF on this one, but I look at that head though, and I can't not see Donald Pleasance. For me it's just a question of whether I next make his psych doc character from Halloween, or a President character from Escape From New York...

No, you need to make his pleather suit clad super villain Cobris from Puma Man. Or as he would say it, Pew-ma Man.

Also, I too like this custom. Very good mix of parts and I dig the paint. Like others, the headdress is iffy for me, but I could see someone wearing it as well, I just think in this instance it draws too much attention to the origin of the head.

I bow before a genius. I hadn't thought of using that head for him. Thank you both for the inspiration

Thanks for all the feedback! So far as the head dress, I had the character 'Cleon' from the movie "The Warriors" in mind... Not exactly the same, but that is why I picked up the Star Wars 'Malakili' to start with... That, and his lower arms, which I thought had a Dreadnok look to them.

BTW, added the recipe above, under the pictures and reason for the name 'Throttle'...
