Delurking to post these up :)

This was my contest entry over at CustomFigureWars.com. It can be seen here:

Evil-Lyn was always more cunning then Skeletor and in the end she proved herself worthy of her own name by sending both He-Man and Skeletor to their doom and claiming Skeletor’s half of the Power Sword. The Sorceress in her form as the falcon, Zoar, swooped in at the last moment to catch He-Man’s sword and teleport back to Castle Grayskull. In the end, the Sorceress, protector of the Castle’s mysterious powers, is the only hope for Eternia. Now, with the powerful sword in her possession, she can leave the castle grounds with her full arsenal of magical abilities and confront evil face to face. The old tales of the Mighty He-Man Vs. Skeletor are ancient history as Sorceress Battles Evil-Lyn for the fate of all Eternia.

This was my contest entry over at CustomFigureWars.com. It can be seen here:
300 | Custom Figure Wars

The customs were made from SDS torsos, heads, and accessories with Joe arms and legs.

Leonidas, the Hero-King of Sparta fought many adversaries along with his 300 fellow Spartans, however, there was one that embodied evil as no Persian could ever aspire to.
His name was Chun Jie, leader of the Quanrong nomads and commander of a small gorilla-style fighting force that had plagued King Jing of Zhou of China since he took power. His mercenary force was hired by the Persians to breach the mountain pass and attack the Spartans from behind.

King Leonidas is aware of the attempt and sends 30 of his soldiers to defend the only way around by means of a small goat trail zigzagging through the maontains. Thus beggining the struggle that will determine the course of history...........

................................................................................
I really hated how the Spartans were betrayed at the Goat Pass and often wonder how history would be different had the small force actually had a chance to defend the trail. I based the Chinese mercenaries on actual historic factions dated from the time of the 300 setting. I think a comic portraying 30 Spartans against some Chinese mercs in the 300 style would be interesting.

Love your Sorceress. I was always a fan of the character, and your take looks great. The feathers really put it over the top. Really digging that Evil-Lyn, too. Her boots look incredible, but really heavy!

They all look great, but those two stood out to me, most.

Are the wings for the sourceress real feathers?

Evil lynn is fantastic. I like all the changes you made to the design.

The spartan is good too? I might not have done the chainmail on the neck since it isn't any where else.

The Chinese mercenarry is awesome. Love the armor and sword details. No helmet?

Thanks for the thoughts everyone. I did enjoy doing these and Evil-Lyn has become one one my favorite customs thus far.

Yep, real wings modded onto PTE elbow joints for articulation.

I see what you mean here. When these two started out they were to be Highlander immortals, thus why both had neck protection. As I worked on them they changed to the 300 setting as I imagined them facing off. My customs often jump into different functions as I work on them and play with them. These two are good examples of that :). I do believe your right, the Merc would look much better with a helmet, great call on that. I'll have to see what I can come up with.......do you think the POTC chinese reed hats would work? Or do you think something metal to match the armor?

I was on the fence about the boots piecing this together. I was not sure it blended just right. I also thought they looked heavy, and considered re-painting them to be (purple) leather with metal plates. They have grown on me, so I will try this on the alt version I'm working on..

Finally got through!

Oh man, real wings!!! I love that attention to detail, and marvel at what it must have been like placing post living items onto plastic. KUDOS. I love the rage to the face with far open eyes and mouth.

Loving your groundswork too.

Have to refresh to see the others, I kept getting timeouts on trying.
