Okay, so I've had a road Pig custom for a while and have been pretty happy with it as a placeholder. But I always knew I wanted the Dreadnoks' big split personality to have a distinctive frame.

I've seen some Road Pig customs using Marvel Superhero Showdown figures as a base but I just don't see this guy as ripped and defined, even in the exaggerated proportions of a Hulk or a Juggernaut. I see DeLuca as a misanthrope. He's big, yes, but more troll like than heroic in proportions. He doesn't work out...he throws his weight around. And with all that in mind, I made this:

He's not quite finished. I need to add his tat and crossbow and some darts. Meanwhile, here's how he stacks up against the Sarge, one of the biggest non-super figures in my collection:

And here he is with a couple of his swamp-dwelling cronies:

So what do you guys think?

EDIT: Went back at the custom with the advice I got from sharing that first version, and here is where I landed:

Getting better?

I can see what you were going for, but sadly I don't think it's working. The torso is too small and the legs are too long and lanky.
He could definitely use a head that fits the body type better as well, this one looks handsome and healthy.

Did Jakks ever make a Build'n'Brawl toy of Umaga? I'd say that'd be a good place to start over.

I agree with the above. The torso looks real short, especially when compared to the legs. Something just isn't working, sorry I can't give you any advice on how to improve

I think the torso works, but agree with the legs. Maybe try and find some shorter thighs to use would help. Granted it would make him shorter, but I think that is going to be the trade off for using the torso. I also would add some weight to the face, as someone this size would show it in the face. Overall I think it has potential. Thanks for sharing.

Yeah, those legs just don't work. Love the idea though.

I agree that the legs and torso don't flow very well. Some thicker thighs and upper arms would help the proportions a lot. And maybe lengthen the torso some so he doesn't look so squat.

I do like the idea of him being more stocky than ripped and that torso as a base works. It just needs some more work to make everything flow together better.

I dig the concept, and I had never before imagined misanthropy as a physical characteristic. LOL. But indeed, he looks like he just lumbered out from under the bridge.

As always, your paints are keen. I say well done.

I like the direction you took with this. The legs like the others said seems a bit lanky. Do enjoy what was done here though, I never seen him as buff and cut either, more the shape of the Big Show or Mark Henry. Big and thick but not necessarily
cut up.

Agree with what others have said about the torso and lanky legs, though I do like the concept you were trying to achieve with the character overall.

Yes, they did make an Umaga. Spin, I like where you are going with this, but the head seems too thin for the torso. Maybe use a Bazooka head, it is wider and would match the torso better.

The ROC fatigue HD legs might solve the lankiness problem. They're the same as Bench Press if you can't find HD.

Gotta say I love the idea but echo the previous posters. His legs look lanky and the head looks too small and clean cut. For legs perhaps Night Adders would work? He'd still be tall but the legs would be bulkier and he'd have steel tip boots.
