Scrap-Iron's a pretty simple LBC. ROC Scrap-Iron body with Arctic Scrap-Iron's head and missile launcher, ROC Kamakura's knife and ROC Gung-Ho's grenade launcher to make a modern era Urban Strike Scrap-Iron.

Sadly I have no big blocky green backpacks to give him to complete the look. :p

Steeler was mostly made concurrently with Spirit (sharing body bases and all) but it took me a while to find a suitable head. Torso, vest, arms and helmet are all from ROC Rampage, legs and M16 are from ROC Leatherneck, belt is from Rescue Mission Duke, head is from Matt Trakker, put a standard ROC Joe pistol in the holster and the binoculars are from the same knockoff toy set I got Spirit's knife from.

And Snake-Eyes... The POC toy was nice but his parts were rapidly becoming "standard buck", what with the whole thing being reused on POC Stalker. I dunno, I like my Snake-Eyes to be a bit of a unique visual feast.
So I grabbed the head, legs, hands and crapload of gear from POC Snake-Eyes, and put them on a Rescue Mission Snake-Eyes body.

The articulated hands look a bit odd on the Resolute Snake-Eyes wrist, but I'm just happy his arms no longer look as gimpy as they did with the standard hands.
Who knows, maybe someday I'll find some sort of removable wristbands to put on there and hide the joint a bit more nicely.

I really dig the Snake Eyes tweaks. Until I read your last line, I was going to say something about removable wristbands, then you beat me to the punch. lol. All I can think of off the top are the ones that came with Tomax and Xamot, or, if painted, the ones from Black Widow in the MU line.

Steeler looks like Steeler to me, even without exactly replicating his original look, so that's great. I think this looks similar to one of his later figs too, right? I like the Trakker head for Steeler, I did the same with mine.

Thanks! Yeah, I thought about the Twins's wristbands but I think their forearms are thicker than Snake-Eyes's, so they'd flop about more than cover up the joint. :-/
MU Black Widow could work, but MU distribution is abysmal here, I doubt I'll ever see her. (and even then, I'd have no idea what to do with the figure herself)

That tends to be what I go for, although I'm never against replicating some aesthetics elements from the original designs.

Maybe the comic pack one from 2004, but honestly I just followed the same guidelines I'd used for my ARAH Steeler: tough-looking head, jacket and a generally bulky look to him. My favorite Steeler moment was in that early ARAH issue with the giant robot in the PIT, where he lifts up an automatic door's counterweight all on his own. He's a badass, and my main goal was keeping that look to him.

Good thinking, it reminds me of his look in the Marvel comic's early issues. Besides, you have to do something constructive with that otherwise useless Matt Trakker fella. :-P ;-)

Steeler is my favorite character, and that early scene is one that sticks with me also. You had the same motivation in making yours that I had in making mine. Cool.

And I'll look to see if I have any extra Widow wrist bands anywhere.

These are all win. There must be something about that scene, because when I think of Steeler, that's the same scene that comes to mind and made him a favorite character for me :-D I think the only tweak I MIGHT make, would be to make his hair a little darker (brownish/blondish), but that's just my opinion. Nothing wrong with the way he looks now. And I definitely like that head on Scraps better than the one he came with. Your tweaks to SE look good too.

I've thought about darkening the hair too, but the helmet is such a tight fit as it is, adding layers of paint is just asking for incessant touch-ups. :S

drbindy, let me know about the Widow wristbands. I'd much appreciate it.

I like your take on Steeler. I used that same torso and arms for mine, but it looks great with the other parts you used as well.

Scrap Iron looks very good until I get to the missiles. The blue just seems to come out of nowhere.

And Snake Eyes is very solid but I agree that something needs doing about those wrists.

Overall very good work.

Thanks! I actually tried the same head you used at first (because I had it on hand) but it didn't sit well on the neck and was too small for the helmet, so I got Matt for his head.

Then the homage is complete!
Only kidding, but considering the original Urban figure came with a big green backpack that clashed with everything else, you might as well consider those missiles my version of the mismatch. :-P

Looking into a solution still.
