so, i had these guys in mind to use in the NJC #15 dio shot, before JFAK reminded me there was no dio shot

anyway, here they are: Draculs' Dragons -- The Immortals !

pretty simple recipe: Imperial Procession + Black RIT

i'm working on a backstory to tie them in to Castle Destro and Miller's 300...

I'm thinking that they need a gold grill... Paint the teeth gold to match the armor.

The black lips right now are making them look a little like Spin Doctor terrifying Mimes.

Yeah I have to roll with Raps on the comments as well other than that they look tight.

I like the black teeth myself.

Any chance of tying Dr. Mindbender's Vlad clone to the group?

I really dig these figures in black. Although as guards for Destro I would have went with silver facemasks. And I agree the mouth needs to be filled in. I think they kind of look like the cheesy Halloween mask with the slit that you keep sticking your tongue in and getting it cut.

hm.m ok, maybe i gotta look into painting the teeth in...

but, they're not guards for Destro, they're guards of Vlad Tepes, the ruler of Transylvania... Ruler of one-half of the mountain range that Castle Destro sits on -- in other words, the guy to whom Destro pays the rent.

Okay. You were the one that did that custom. Sorry. Mixed up my posters here. My mistake.

Very interesting look. I like it.

I would be curious to see the teeth in gold, though.

Those are indeed pretty sweet, JM. I agree gold (or better yet the jet exhaust color you used on the rifles) would look good on the teeth, but only if you could paint each tooth individually so the black lines seperating them still showed thru.

Ooh, good idea AV. I imagine that could be pretty time-consuming, but the end result would be really cool.

Hey! Just not liking mimes and being scared of them are very different things. I know...because I have some experience with both.

But if a mime came at me with a grill like that, yeah, my pulse would quicken a bit. Neat concept here.

If JM uses a drybruch technique to the teeth it wouldn't be so difficult.

hm. only difficulty might be that the jet exhaust color is actually bronze spray paint. might have to spray into a little cup and sacrifice a brush for effect.

one thing that might help is if i got a better photo going -- they don't look that washed out/ masky in real life...

maybe i should try the scanner method i see folks use with success --
