Made these two yesterday. Blacklash and Psylocke.

Need to do some touchups on the paint, but they are 99% finished.

I dropped the V neck and collar on his shirt, May go back and add it later, but for now I like him just fine as is.

And Psylocke, nothin special, but glad to have her on my teams.

You might need some painters tape for psylocke's legs. Thin lines like that drive me nuts going back and forth with the flesh and stripe color to achieve symmetry.

QFT, and with my recent hand injury, I'm thinking these may be my last customs. :(

Did I miss something? What happened to your hand?

It was kinda weird how it happened. I killed a mosquito, and it was stuck to the middle finger on my right hand. I took my thumb and put it on the left side of the middle finger to flick the dead bug off of my finger. When I was about to flick, the tendon that rund down the middle of the back of your hand, over the knuckle snapped and rolled over to the right side of the knuckle. My hand locked up in a clenching type pose. I had to grab the tendon and pull it away from the side of the joint and back into place. It hurt so bad I got faint and almost passed out. After that, any time I do certain things with my hand like holding a pen, pencil, stirring something with a spoon, holding a guitar pick, the tendon pops again and my hand locks up and hurts. I went to the ER the next day and they did X-rays which didnt show anything, but the Dr. said that something was definately wrong in there for that to have happened, and I will need to see an orthopedic surgion. As much as I enjoyed getting to make these figures, and seem to have some inspiration to start customizing again, I had to stop every 3 or 4 minutes because of my hand. So Looks like I wont be customizing anymore, or playing guitar either. Cant afford surgery, even with ins. So I'm kinda screwed. :-/

so the tendon became misaligned or literally tore in some way? If misaligned, I wonder if there are exercises a doctor or therapist could recommend to strengthen that area (no jokes intended) to prevent a recurrence. But if it's tore in some way I'd hate to think you could end up with a permanent disability if you didn't have a way to have it fixed now.

The Dr, actually used the term torn, so I'm guessing that. I hope it will heal over time, but it's really not much better now than it was a week ago, and it happened 2 weeks ago. :-(

BlackLash looks awesome.
I agree on the lines for Miss Braddock, but other than that, looks excellent. I like the metallic blue coloring too. Very 90s look for her. :)

That sucks, I hope that you hand heals so you can continue to do things you enjoy. I would make sure to get a second and possibly a third opinion. I know that I have seen multiple cases where the 2nd or 3rd opinions were different and actually helped. I should add that I think you did a fantastic job on both, but I do agree about the taping the legs for straighter lines.

not to rain on your parade about your hand, but if it truly torn, I wouldn't expect it to heal on it's own. a partial tear maybe could heal on it's own, but they way you said it rolled up, I'm not so sure.

Of course, I'm not really a doctor, I just play one on Joe Customs.

Love the color on Psylocke. It's perfect.
I like Blacklash. Nice use of the Constrictor head.

Awesome work, indeed.

I'd love to see him posed alongside an old school looking whiplash. Always thought their looks went well together.
