Jack is one of my faves, and despite his effeminate look, his music definitely has balls. This is from the White Stripes era. Wanted to do Meg White to go with him, but didn't have a drum kit I felt adequate for the job.

The guitar is scratch built - and is made to look like Jack's real one. A little rough around the edges, and I might still go touch that up a bit. I also made the old fashioned radio mic for him. In the movie "It might get loud" where he jams with Jimmy Page and the Edge, he shows the mic and how it was custom made for him to fit into the base of his guitar. I tried to create the look for that, but it doesn't (yet) actually work on the scale model.

And, a quick reference pic or two for the likeness I was shooting for:

Interesting custom from the customizing aspect, I'm just not a fan of his (after that horrible Quantum of Solace title song with Ms. Keys).

Some of the parts look recognizable.

yeah, that song was a wreck, but it's not Jack White-y at all either. He's not a pop icon and was not well suited for that kind of thing. I like him because he can go from Garage Band to Blues to Blue Grass to modern edgy rock, and not skip a beat.

Holy heck! That head choice is amazing. What a great eye for parts. The painting is great as usual. You really should make Meg, with or without drums.

The head choice was inspiring. You nailed his look. Easily recognizable.

thanks guys. Jack is one where I had my eye out for parts well before the NJC was announced. So that was an easy one for me to get involved with. If not for the NJC, he might have been relegated to playing EXCAL office parties. ;)

Very recognizable. I mean, he looks spot on

I hear him signing "The Hardest Button to Button"
