4 or 5 weeks ago, I was in my garage looking through my fodder boxes looking for a part for my most recent creation, the repulsorskiff "Niddler's Revenge" and stumbled across a gallon-sized ziplock bag full of those crappy ROC spring-loaded missile launchers (as well as some old ARAH, Iron man 2 and misc. ones mixed in). Initially, I was going to toss them in the trash as they are more or less useless, but decided to see if there was any way of salvaging them for dio parts or tech details. This is what I came up with: Fusion Generators Size comparison Size comparison Sensor Pods Size comparison Perimeter Sensor Pod Size comparison Security Sensors Size comparison Moisture Vaperator Size comparison Not too shabby for stuff that was initially going to be tossed out, huh? More diorama accessories (2 more generators and a bunch of other items) coming next week! |

Your paint apps is beyond awesome, most excellent work. It would be cool if you showed us what launchers you used for each. |

That is some hot stuff. The same goes for the first round, too. I've been holding onto a lot of those launchers for similar purposes, but yours are so beautifully done that disappointment in my own attempts is all but assured. The paint, as mentioned, is just spectacular. I love that you used some of the missiles themselves, too: I've never seen someone apply the Native American belief of using all parts of one's quarry to customs so thoroughly. Nice work on these; I hope there are more to follow. Also, when poor-quality rip-offs of your efforts here start popping up in other people's dio stuff, don't be surprised. This post is good, old-fashioned inspiration fuel. |

These are just too cool. Next time you really need some WIP shots to really showcase the work you have done on these. Also you have me wondering on a few here as to what parts you used. If you don't mind me asking: Anyway, I must know what did you use on this green one from the CC Claw thing up? And I can only place the Heavy Duty gun handle and Jar Jar staff, so what other parts did you use for your moisture vaperator? Are they '90s parts mixed in on this one like a few others from this batch? Thanks momaw nadon |

What're the tops of the shortest sensor pods made out of? All of these are masterpieces! |

I LOVE these! You got your old school ILM kit-bash on, and not only do they look great, but they fit in seamlessly with Star Wars' production design. In addition to cool parts choices, your painting on these is flawless. Since they're diorama pieces, you could have half-@$$ed them, but instead of making them background, they're stars, especially the little green guy. |

Thanks Guys! To answer a few of the questions: I very rarely do any kind of WIP pics as I build them so fast, sorry The shortest sensor pods (the Security Sensors) are Agent Helix missiles all the way to the base (the base is made from 2 caps from PP Baroness launchers). The top half of the green one is made from some unknown launcher I had in one of my fodder boxes for over a decade. The Vaperator is primarily a 91 Grunt launcher, a HEAT-Viper cannon, 4 Jar Jar staffs, 4 heavily trimmed HD handles, a BBI Dragon missile launcher, and part of a City Strike SE grappling hook for the top finial. There is one more installment to this project coming next week. Then there will be a small addendum in which I made some action figure accessories out of some other launchers (although I need a 25A Buzzer backpack to finish this last project so if anyone has one to spare, hit me up ) which will debut whenever it's finished |
