Posted this a while back, but it didn't feel complete:
Image

After removing the straps under the webgear, I gave him wristbands from Xamot and MU Black Widow to cover up the wrist joint.
Also, I find he looks way better with the "v1" style head than the "v2" one. Didn't see that one coming.

Special thanks to drbindy for hooking me up with that Black Widow wristband for free!

EDIT
And now I've added the finishing touches, painting the shoulder and elbow pieces a glossy black to go with Hasbro's own glossy paint apps.

Looks good, and glad the wristband arrived ok. I think you are right about the head choice also. This one looks pretty damn definitive to me. I also like that despite being predominantly black parts it all still pops when photographed.

Great, that's all we need....another Snake Eyes.

I like the mods; simple, yet effective. He's always been more commando to me than ninja with this version, so yeh, the v1 head works a lot better.

Blame Hasbro. I'd have been happy keeping their version 54 as is, but then they went and reused the torso on Steel Brigade, the legs on the Cobra Trooper and the entire body on the new Stalker, and call me whiny but I like my Snake-Eyes having a uniqueness to him, so I gave him a different upper body to make him more unique. :p

I don't see how a knight's visor is more ninja than a goggled and faceplated mask. ;-)

Once my kittens are less dependent, I'm thinking about painting the shoulder detailing the same gloss black as a lot of the SE54 parts to add more "pop" to the torso.

It's not so much that it looks more "ninja," but SE v2 was when he became more "ninja" and less "commando," so it's that he looks more ninja because of the association with his v2 head.

Since the kittens went to the vet for the day, I've had the time to get my supplies and do some quick work.
Hence, Snake-Eyes is finished for reals with the addition of some glossy black to the shoulder and elbow pieces, to go with Hasbro's own glossy paint apps to POC SE.
