This is a figure I put together without any real idea in mind, which is rare for me. It was the result of recycling my previous Storm custom, and deciding what to do with the base body of the figure thereafter. Since it had such little thought behind it, and I wasn't making her for a specific role in my verse (either of them), I put her in the marketplace with a link to an auction.

But, since I had never posted here, I was getting responses that are probably better off as critique responses, so here she is, in all her lack of direction splendor!

I guess I envision her as a Smuggler, Pirate or even a Bounty Hunter in a sci-fi verse, but in a pinch she could make for a great Zombie survivor or hell, even a dreadnok.

I started working on it the other day after thinking on AV's comment about the lack of women of color in the 1:18 verse.

Recipe:
Head was recycled from my 1st v. of the Silk Spectre. It's a Darth Talon head with 25A Baroness hair;
Torso and arms are MU cp Storm. Torso modded (AV style) and sculpted over. Arms modded for extra elbow swivel articulation (using a knee joint from ST Uhura).
Legs are ROC Baroness
coat is from Prince of Persia
belt from Bespin Luke

Thanx for posting.

I like characters that can be used for different factions, and she does fit the bill.

Very nice. The head/hair combo are perfect. I do get the Firefly feel as mentioned in the other thread.

Very cool figure the paint apps are perfect.
I get a real bounty hunter feel for her. I'd make her a nok hunter working for the Joe's or the Knights.

Put her on the pegs and then have an executive try to tell you that girls don't sell.
She'll be sold out in a minute.

This figure's is fa winner.

I think she works really well for a Firefly/Bounty Hunter. The parts work well and the paint is good with just enough details to keep it from being too brown and black. There's sex appeal but still a take her serious attitude.

Thanks for the comments guys. Now you have me all wishing I was keeping her. Part of me not running with her was a lack of appreciation for that head/hair combo. When I had it painted in caucasian flesh tones, there was some part of it I just wasn't getting right. Whether it is the darker repaint, or whether I've simply improved, the had does work much much better with it's current paint job. But I still see the previous version so I never quite warmed up to her as I was painting.

I do plan to do a Zoe from Firefly now though, based on some of these parts (luckily I had more than a few of the Darth Talon heads). I also was playing around a bit, and had toyed with making an alternate Tw'lek head to go with this body.

Dude, that looks great, all the way around. Sometimes, these random bashes out of what's laying around work out great.

The head/hair combo is seriously reminding me of Alison Blake, from Eureka.

You know, that perceived lack is only true if you're not counting my entire 'verse... I have lots of them.

(Also, I do believe that is the head that I used for Indigo Drift, if I'm not mistaken... also "of color".)

Seriously nice work, indeed, D. She does deserve a good bio now, I think.

The bare midriff along with the overall brown/black colorscheme make her look like Storm from some altverse where the Xmen are pirates. But that's a story I'd read so I dunno if that should be changed or not, lol.

Hmmm, I have an extra Maris Brood torso I could use. Now to find extra Storm figures as back-up...

Very cool.

Firefly was the first thing I thought of when I saw this, but the greatest thing about it is it could be anyone.

not a fan of the elbow joints -- too much disparity, but that head is fantastic, the colors are great, and the presentation overall is win. Well done!

Excellent work. Wish I had thought of that head a couple of weeks ago.
