Well, After building some 1/18 scale chairs last year I had a real itch to build something real. So when the chicken and duck that we got outgrew their cage we decided to build a coop for them. I built the frame and came up with the overall design. Then my wife and her mom took over the walls. My mother in law handled the rest by herself including the painting. In the end we spent $25 more than what a used one would have cost us...

...but then I was able to use the leftover plywood and 2x4's along with some cull wood from Home Depot for $10 and build my daughter a playhouse/sun shade. After I put the door on she spent the better part of the day just going in and out and making us come in and out with her. The only reason this was possible was because I got inspired by guys like Cap and JoeMichaels and everything else I've learned from JoeCustoms and put it to use on something life size.

I guess it is still a WIP because it needs paint. My idea right now is to paint each side would be a different play area, pink castle, lemonade stand, pet hospital.

Really cute kid!

Your work Reminds me of when my dad and I tried to build guinea pig enclosures, except that ours never looked anything like your work they always fell apart!
