I think I'm mostly done with her, but would welcome any and all input. One thing I haven't done yet is decide how and where to put the leg holster.

Anyway, this is a character I always had some thoughts on making - and if I was making her for myself, I would probably lean towards making the head and face be more on the realistic style I shoot for. This one is a commission, however, and the buyer requested a J. Scott Campbell animated look for the face.

The buyer also suggested trying some kind of cargo pants as a slight tweak to the normal look.

Not sold on the pistol yet either, just testing out my options. Thoughts so far?

Oh, drbindy, how do I love thee...

Seriously it is about time the Danger Girls got some serious 3-3/4 loving.

Wait, I mean as custom action figures.... :whew:

As for a weapon, gotta go with a nice shiny Desert Eagle. I think one of the new sculpt Destros or Zartans came with one.

This is a great-looking female custom.

Now where do I know her name from? (Googles) Oh, yeah!

Totally forgot about this character. Very glad you didn't!

RoC Shipwreck has one.

I'd put the holster on her hip since you have those nice cargo pockets on her thighs.

pretty nice, I always wished there were joe sized Danger girl figs available.Perfect choice on legs for a cargo pants look. Does her upper torso move since you sculpted he bottom of her shirt there?

Thanks for the feedback. I'm pretty happy with the end result, so we'll see how the buyer likes her. Moving on to make Sydney Savage next.

If I was making Abbey for myself, I would go with a more realistic face style, but I was pretty happy with this one for what it is.

Will do my best.

Head: Takara face, I believe. Hair is SW Tsanne Isard (sp?)

Torso: MU Mystique. It's molded in white, so even though I painted the shirt white, I also sanded off the blue, so that any potential paint rubbing leaves little visible effect. I also sculpted the shirt edge at the midriff, and across the chest.

Upper arms are SW snow-bunny padme. I sculpted the edge of the sleeve and sanded the flesh part smooth before painting.

Lower arms: ? From my parts bin. I think I had modded the lower arms for a different custom before. The gloves have a hole instead of a peg, and I had inserted a peg into the wrist hole to make them work together. But can't remember the source.

I swapped out the plastic MU t-bar with a Joe metal t-bar. Also sculpted the stomach, the belt, and pants top onto the otherwise bare MU waist.

The legs are from one of the ROC gals. I think maybe Cover Girl. Started with the other blue camo legs (Scarlett's I suppose) but they didn't take to the dye nearly as well. And the cargo pants were less pronounced also. So I think these work best.

Oh, Tim, on your earlier question, I did not add a joint at the shirt seam, if that was your question. But the boob joint does allow for swivel articulation, in addition to forward and back.

Some quick updated pics. Unless the buyer requests a change, I'm calling her done (not the gun referenced, but it fits best with the hands I chose)

EDIT: oh, and a WIP pic of the sculpting I did - note that I changed the legs out later on.

Thanks! I was kind of proud of it myself, since it's not the kind of sculpt detail I normally do.

Also, one more update coming. The buyer shares some of my reticence on this anime style head, so I get to do a more realistic one to accompany it. That's much more in my wheelhouse, and I do believe that the new MU Sue Storm head will work quite well for the more realistic take on her.
