just wanted to share a WIP currently underway with the painting process...

Karkinos was initially inspired by the CRABS custom, and I wanted to copy the figure, but in all these years, i never saw and found the right head for it... so I decided I should just make a completely new concept.

and here's the initial custom, with mixmatched parts, and some epoxy molds for armor.

the pincer arms are from real crabs, and i painstakingly restored its innards, albeit with wires and stuff, as to still able to have the pincers close and open.

real crab claws wow never would have thought to use real stuff like that in a custom thats cool!

not anymore... i cleaned out all innards, and submerged them in alcohol for a few days beforehand.

when i first saw the claws on the dinner table, it was indeed Clawful that came to mind...

but the rest of Clawful would be a hard job to do, so i went with this one.

Take it easy, have patience. Most of the time the best result comes in many layers......
