This is one of those customs where I love the idea way more than the finished product...and the only way to improve it will be to start over. I'm sure I'll revisit this idea, but probably not anytime soon.

Started on a whim...I was using some clear resin, and had extra...so I poured it into molds for the bat head and chest I had.

I was ordering some LED's for other projects, and they had a "welding" kit. The welding kit is 3 LED's (Blue, Flashing white, Fast Flashing white)...The rest just kinda falls into place.

So I'd love to hear your thoughts.

I think you might be your own harshest critic on this one. I can get if it doesn't quite manage to fit the image you had in your mind. But it's pretty freaking cool and fun. I dig it, and I like the extra effort you put in to show it off.

That is pretty great, it would definitely bump up any Bat display up a couple of notches. You could do a little bit of clear yellow over the non blue bits to add to that "Spark" effect. It might get muddy in the blue areas though.

Certainly right about that. Like it just walked out of the cartoon. This is brilliant stuff. Now I'm curious for an "on fire"-version...

Can't really say anything the others haven't already, but that it way too cool. I'd love to have one of those for myself.

You're probably quite right, but I think it definitely shows better in photos than in person. The chest had to be glued together because the casting wasn't perfect, I also had to use a packaging clear rubber band instead of an O ring and that makes the BAT very floppy.

Because he's so floppy and he has batteries in his back pack, he's prone to back flops.... and then all the backpack work and wireing is sloppy.

So I chalk this one up as a learning experiment... Obviously I think it's a cool idea, you all seem to agree, and I know if I waited till I'd perfected it's use in a custom It'd be another year or two before I finished.

The place I ordered the "Welding Kit" also has a "Fire Kit". I ordered one of these too....but was planning on putting it in a Fuel barrel from the Mortar Defense Unit. Worth thinking about an Inferno BAT.
