After looking long and hard at the first version of Thoth Amon that I did, I realised that I wanted a more authentic version. I went through my Marvel Comics collection and found that I rather liked this look. I did toy with the images from the Age of Conan RPG for a while, but it just didn't sit right with me.

Thoth Amon of the Black Ring:

Head: Harry Potter OotP Argus Filch with horns from a Papo Ram Mutant
Body: Star Wars Mas Ammedda
Hands: Star Wars Emperor Palpatine

The Ring of Set on his right hand is sculpted from green stuff, as is the hood.

I'd venture to say this is one of your finer pieces, and I like a lot of them. Looks like something you'd buy at a comic shop.

Hell Yeah mate !

Very cool and i'm glad you went with this look for him, as always the little details just make him stand out.

That is cool. You might as well make every version of him and just say he's a shape shifter or a timeless entity who has occupied many bodies. :D James Earl Jones demands it.

Brilliant!

Not as brilliant as the work on this custom, but a great idea and challenge for the Customizer.

I think you guys are getting a little mixed up here. James Earl Jones played Thulsa Doom in the first Conan movie, not Thoth Amon.In fact, Thulsa Doom never appeared in any of the Conan books by Howard or any of his successors, although the skull version did appear in some of the comics. Thulsa Doom was a character from the REH Kull stories.

I already did that version:

although I am thinking of doing a JEJ custom at some point.
