After finding (imo) the perfect long hair bearded head for Aquaman, I still favored the short haired look. So here is what for my purposes is a pretty close to perfect short haired alt head.

I like it better than I like it for Duke. Great eye.

That head is the perfect versatile "hero" sculpt. I've been contemplating mine for Steve Rogers, I've seen Chief use it well for Flash Gordon and Bruce Wayne, and now Will nails it for Aquaman. Reminds me a bit of the Mego figures from my childhood, where most all the heroes shared the same head, with different paints. It really works that well.

I love this custom though Will, and I like that you now have a definitive short hair head and long hair version both for this figure. Would be a perfect way to package a toy like this, with both iconic looks.

It is funny that you mention the Mego line, as it does resemble that Aquaman a lot, doesn't it...

Nailed it! That head works great for the short hair look. He has the modern New 52 feel now. This head sems like it could work great for a Superman custom as well if given the s-curl and black hair.
