Danger Girl: Sydney Savage - UPDATE 10/25

On the heels of my Abbey Chase custom from last month comes Sydney Savage, the 2nd figure of a 2 part commission I did. This one went much smoother (I feel like I have the black cat-suit look down now), and I had merely to wait on the arrival of one of those PVC sets discussed in General Customizing to get this one done.

As I mentioned in Abbey's thread, the buyer prefers a look to match the J.Scott Campbell artwork, so this seemed like the only real choice I had for the head.

Torso: MU BW, modded
Arms: ROC Scarlett (camo suit)
Legs: ROC Baroness - modded

First off, Danger Girls. Yes!!!!

My only critique is the right side of her face looks a little swollen, like she has the mumps or is recovering from plastic surgery (well, I guess that last part is kinda accurate...)

Other than that, that body works great for her and I sorta wonder if the designers were kinda thinking that way.

yeah, about that... lol

well the customer is admittedly 'nit-picky'... so Sydney here is going under the knife as we speak. I'm adding a flipped-up collar - which I had considered before but ruled out due to the rigid hair. And I'm thinning down the "Ahnold" sized neck - even though it's the same neck I use on most of these gals...lol

He takes my jabs back in stride though, so it's all good

This is why I stopped commissions.
Looks good, and I'm betting the little mods will go a long way.

I like the custom....a lot....but It doesen't say Bindy custom to me. Don't get me wrong it's good but I ........... :-/

Its the head that makes you say that. Its not my style. But its what the buyer wants, the comic styling. That was the only thing I regret, since I knew it wasn't in my wheelhouse

I can understand the gist why they don't, but look at MU a chick in each wave. . .
Its a little sad the Joes only get a couple.

UPDATE:

Fixed the neck width, and it does look better. Also added flip up collar.

right now, I'm on a figure by figure basis, depending on what I'm asked to make. But I do believe Natalie, Deuce, and Zero will all be on schedule at some point.
