Here is the last one of the series. I wanted to have a Cobra equivalent to Airborne, and Cobra already had the Gyro-Vipers, so Heli-Vipers fit the role perfectly. I was originally going to paint him like Gyro-Viper, but found that by painting the light purple black, he really fit in with [url=http://thegijoeindex.com/joeindex/usfigures/91/nightvulture1/Night Vulture[/url]

Lastly for my Field Artillerymen is Sub-Zero (which I've renamed Snow Storm). Because his SMOS is Field Artillery, I've made him my Grenadier for my Winter Operations fire team. I figured that the original M-60 was a bit much since he's already carrying mortar, so I gave him a M203/M16. Obviously, the main customizing here was the head. I despise the original head so I gave him a combo of Chief Torpedo with a hood from Han Solo.

On the same vein as Bazooka, here is my Hard Ball. After putting Bazooka together I figured that Hard Ball would be another great candidate for a flak vest. Then I saw Hard Ball in this video from the 1988 Action Vehicle Commercial Amazingly enough, he is wearing the Repeater vest. So here he is.

Next is Bazooka. I never had a problem with his jersey, but thought he needed more protection. Seeing the 12" Bazooka figure back in 2008 showed me exactly what I needed to do.

Like Sputnik earlier today, I have some customs that have been finished forever, just needed to post them. Here is my Star Brigade Duke. Not quite finished, as I plan on painting his straps. The helmet really is the only custom here.

Much better than the craptastic helmet he came with. Kind of wish you took a full shot with the helmet on just to see how it sits compared with the body. I know that is a big helmet but with the bulkier body it should look really cool all together.

I kinda wish you'd found a way to incorporate the Helmet, or at least the face mask that came with this Duke...but overall a very slick custom.

Definitely and interesting idea. This facemask is removable, but too bad I don't have a Duke SB helmet to play with. I based this off of issue 147

Not the most imaginative custom, but it fills a hole in my collection :D

Bazooka looks great. He also brings to mind his fishing suit figure without going overboard.

Great mod on Bazooka. I never would have thought of Repeater's torso as a t-shirt under armour.

That Bazooka is awesome! A definite improvement over the original, but still maintains the "essence" of the original.

Duke looks great as well. That helmet works a lot better than the weird one he came with.

Excellent customs!

Duke is good, but Bazooka is fantastic, can't wait to see more updates.

Huh, using that torso is a pretty good idea.

I like the addition. The color match is close3 enough for Hardball, but I would have tried to match Bazooka's greens a little closer. Once you add the helmet and backpack you have like 5 different color greens together.

I agree. Hardball works well, and Bazooka's not terrible until you put on his helmet. By the time I finished, the last thing I wanted to do was go back and repaint the torso :D. May have to repaint the helmet and accessories at some point.

The jerseys have never bothered me either, but those vests do legitimize both guys in a way. When I get around to Hardball I think I'll try this idea.
