I stumbled backwards into these figs, having only gotten into MegaBloks figs from a desire to fab up a Rocket Racoon fig. As that idea went in other directions, I picked up more of the MB stuff from both the Dragons and HALO lines, and scrambled up a few of the earlier 'Mechs' line, or whatever it was called. But, having done a Rocket and prefering it over the official MU fig, I started fiddling with the MU fig and ended up here with 5 HALO figs with animal heads on them, being called Battle Beasts. I don't recall which all figs the bodies use, but the squirrel and cat heads and bits are from the GL B'dg and Dex-Starr figs, while the pig and frog are from Schleich statues. The clear Elite fig I chanced into, and simply put him aside as a curiosity when I remembered one of the PopCo Harry Potter figs I picked up from Dark Horse had a spectral otter accessory going useless. These aren't finished, but I figured there'll be sales on the MB stuff soon, if only because they lose the Marvel license with the new year. Perhaps some of you guys would like to copy this idea and would prefer I not wait another 6 months to finish them and their chariot mecha-beasts (!). Attachment: Attachment:

ohhh nice! I remember those little killer dudes from my childhood, a friend of mine had a shopping bag ful of them, I like the translation here. If only you could put the rub sign decals on the finished versions. |

Rockage! I had a few of those, when I was a kid. The only one I really remember is the turtle/tortoise in the orange armor. |

Oh my god...what a stroke of genius. I've been trying to figure out how to make articulated Battle Beasts customs for years now, and kept coming up empty. These have the potential to be awesome: the bodies come pre-armored, they're poseable, and all you really have to do is jam an animal head on them (which, given the amount of tiny animal toys there are in the world, should be pretty easy) and match some paint colors. The frog, in particular, really stands out with those cool feet. And, yeah, I'd love to see some vehicles. If I can get my hands on some of the figures and make a couple Beasts, I'll probably start searching for a suitable base to turn into the shark playset. Great work here; this is one of the most inspired uses of a base figure that I've seen in a long time. |

Thanks, gents. And I've already got a MB Thor squirreled away for when that Frog of Thunder comes out and needs bashin'. Based on the MU Rocket, I expect Throg to have a ball neck, but hopefully they give him some sort of torso joint since he doesn't have a tail to put in a ball joint like they did for Rocket. |

Cool, I like Battle Beasts! I think the pig, the squirrel and the cat's heads are too big. The other two do work and I really like how you used the bodies to make those nice little figures from back then. Very inventive! |
