Oh, hey, when's that video game bosses NJC due?

It's over? Completely? And they've moved on to a new one?

Damn.

Well, this is what I'd been working on for it. I wanted someone to display with my earlier Kratos custom, so I made the source of all of his daddy issues, Zeus. If by the end of God of War 3 you don't want to murder Zeus, you're playing it wrong. Fortunately, the game lets you murder him like four times.

God of War Zeus
Head: PotC Blackbeard with part of hair from a Golden Compass woman for a beard extension
Body: Thor Frost Giant
Cloth skirt: Some Princess Leia figure
Arm armor: Pieces cut from a Hand Ninja

Wow 8O

I've actually been planning to use that Blackbeard head for a Zeus myself (redheaded Marvel version, though) - but had no idea which body to use to make it more grandiose. Until now.

This is completely effing stolen.

Never played the game, but now I want to. -- Where's the sword from?

I'd buy that at retail. Fantastic!

And how did you cover up the blue so well?

Thanks for the comments, everyone! The Frost Giant body is awesome, sculpt wise, for larger characters. But, as mentioned, the only downside is the blue base color. It took so many coats of two different flesh tones to cover that I actually lost count. And I used the lighter single carded one; I can't even imagine how many it would take to cover the blue on the 'deluxe' version.

The sword actually wasn't made for this custom, I just threw it in since I noticed that it kind of resembled the Blade of Olympus from the game (which I'd love if Slayer Design would make, like they did Kratos' blades of chaos). It's made from a sword that came from some magnetic figure from a few years back, with wings from Superhero Showdown Thor and the face from an old PotC figure's belt.

Definitely godlike.

I'll bet he goes great displayed with Kratos.

Really well done.

Somewhat fitting for Ian MacShane's head to be used for an evil god.

Nothing to add that hasn't been said - an outstanding custom. Agree with Chief also, that your customs make me want to try the game.

Love it. I also bought this head to make a Zues to go with my Kratos, but never ended up doing it. Now I wish I had, or maybe now I'll actually attempt it after seeing how well this turned out. Very nice work all around No crits. Awesome job!
