When the Joes enlisted former wrestling champion Sgt. Slaughter to oversee PT and close quarters combat training for their recruits, it gave Destro an idea. But when the Laird McCullen sought a trainer for his Iron Grenadiers, he wasn't interested in someone with the same commitment to fair play and good sportsmanship. He wanted one of the meanest, dirtiest fighters in the history of the ring. And the fact that, when he found the perfect candidate, he also happened to be Scottish was just the icing on the cake. Attachment: I attribute the fact that I did this to the "I'm already dirty" principle. I hated when the Joes introduced Slaughter back in the 80s and I thought Mastercollector's Piper was over the top. But I sure did love the recent SDCC Slaughter figure and I found the Build n Brawl of Roddy, so... The parts for this were a total accident. i started with Roddy's head and legs and just built the rest around it. The kilt was a royal pain. I knew I didn't want a cloth one but couldn't get any molded pieces to look right. This is thick plastic sheeting cut to fit and anchored with the belt. What do you think? |

The head just doesn't seem like the Rowdy one. I like the rest of it though. |

Take some paint to the kilt and make it plaid. Then you've got a real winner!!! |

The Kilt is the only thing really bothering me. I feel you really need a tartan pattern on it and it needs to be one piece that wraps all the way around. best thing to do is look up photos of kilts and do the same thing with the plastic. Otherwise I say good job. |

I like it as is, plus I've always been a Piper fan (now do a They Live version!). What type of plastic is that exactly? I wanted that exact color and type to try different set of wings for my Batman Beyond custom. |

So my wife helped me find some fabric that i thought might make for a more authentic feeling kilt. Attachment: What do you guys think? |

Yes. It's hard to find a tartan pattern scaled right for Joes, but I'm calling this about as good as anyone's gonna get. Very cool, and 1000% better than the previous version (which was still pretty damned cool.) How does he stack up next to 25A IGs/Destro figs height-wise? |

That works. I mean, unless you find a kilt from another 1/18th figure in the future, that completely works. |

It's not bad...but Having seen the Con IGs using Resolute CC's Skirt peice...I'm wondering how that would look...make it look like the coat is extended and just use the fabric as a cover on the actual skirt part. |

Looks pretty cool, but I can't help but feel the pattern is too "big" for this small a figure. Could be just me, though. Love the unorthodox parts choice. I do feel with that codename, he could use an Armored Cobra Commander backpack in yellow. |

Man, that kilt is going to be hard to get "just right". The cloth works better than the first one. I know it would be a little harder to come by, but the "armored kilt" from ancestor/suited destro 2 pack might be a workable solution. Waterslide decal of a scaled down tartan pattern might also work, applied to any number of Star Wars "skirt" pieces. It's certainly a fun design though, and otherwise very solid! |
