For a guy who doesn't collect Transformers and is bored with GI Joe, I sure made a lot of these things in the past couple of months...




All are in various stages of completion -- no telling when I'll be done, though (waiting on some stuff from CobraStickers to finish a couple of them.)

But I figured I'd share for anyone out there trying to do the same thing. The crossover discussion thread prodded me to add a couple more (OP & Hound) to the mix, but I had quite a few already.


Thinking I'll use the otherwise-worthless Rage/Fury to make another one -- any suggestions on who it should be? Rumble? Frenzy? Not familiar with any non-G1 characters, TBH.

Thanks! I'll finish them up once I get the decals, then do a couple of touch-ups - then I'll get multiple close-ups of all of them. None of them are ready for prime-time just yet (except maybe BumbleBee & Thundercracker), but I should be able to get the detailed, complete shots in a few days.

Incredible work. I like it a lot. Prime and Jetfire are my favorite.

Why not make one that transforms ? You have the talent and you're bored with Joe which suggest you might need a bigger challenge to stir interest. I know i was that way at one point.

As someone that doesn't own an ROCC yet but plans on buying one at some point.... i really appreciate that paint job.

Thanks, guys! These continue to be a lot of fun. Big props to CobraStickers.com for making it so easy to add high-end decals. My latest order had some of the hybrid Joe/Autobot decals in them, so Hound & Prime are likely gonna get a few of those.




I honestly find the transforming gimmick uninteresting. But I like the idea of "robot vehicles" and I really do enjoy the characters -- which is why I make so many non-transforming robot mode customs. And I don't customize for the challenge - but just to make toys/characters that I enjoy and that I can't get at retail. When I want a challenge, I go climb a mountain (3 down, 50 to go )

Mainframe - Bumblebee is a repainted Wow Girls VW Bug (was able to get it back from my daughter once she hit her teens )
