Here is my latest python custom, the Python Patrol Rolling Thunder. I have made the switch for mesh to striping tape. It is far more time consuming and labor intensive but I love the results. Its a little different than the classic python vehicle pattern released on the toys. This pattern is meant more to resemble the pattern seen in the Operation Dragonfire mini-series; larger more angular diamonds with straighter lines in between. I originally started this custom as a commission but the buyer had to back out, so for now its mine to keep which isn't so bad. That is also the primary reason I used yellow instead of gold on this custom, which actually looks pretty good. I might be on the fence about using gold in the future and sticking to the classic yellow, we will see. |

You Pythonized the missiles!!! That is awesome! One of my favorite vehicle/playsets in a very cool color scheme. Well done. |

As usual, you've kicked major backside with your Python Customs. Your work has become one of my main inspirations. Great Work!!! |

Yep, looks totally factory. One of my favorite big vehicles and it looks killer in the PP color scheme. |

The entire vehicle is awesome but for some reason the single seat pythonized "roller" just pushes beyond amazing. I had good times with that vehicle as a child. I would have really enjoyed a cobra counterpart. |

looking back this probably would have made more sense as a cobra vehicle back in the day...why would gi joe need a rolling missle platform capable of devastating the urban center of a large city? awesome job as always! on this one i like the yellow over gold. |

Can we get a close up shot of the roller by itself. The whole project came out great. |

Yup. Just wanted to see how well the scheme translated to that little bugger. Looks just as good. Ok, best guess, how much time do you think you spent taping this vehicle up for spray painting? |

That's just kind of crazy impressive. I don't even like PP vehicles, but I'd be all over something like this. |

Thanks man yeah, I did the scout last and I didnt want to blow the whole project being lazy on it, so I go into all the details and stuff so it would look sharp. I watch TV while I work, I am sure if i hammered through I could cut the time down a bit, but here is what I remember: Front cover: 4 hours Missiles: 4 hours Front gun decks: 2 hours Front covers: 5 hours Ramp covers: 3 hours Rear gun decks: 2 hours Main turret mount: 8 - 9 hours Main body: 10 hours Turret top: 5 hours Scout topper: under 2 hours |

That is impressive. dragongravy is right too. I never really thought about it before but it really doesn't make much sense as a Joe vehicle. It's an awesome vehicle but now that I think about it I think it does make more sense as a Cobra vehicle instead. Given the nature of Python Patrol, this would be a pretty devastating weapon too. |

Epic. Can you get all the big stuff you've done together in a single shot? (you might have to use a wide angle lens). - R |
