No it's a piece of something or other that looked fabric-y. I tried sculpting first but it didn't work out at all.

Great improvement on one of my favorite cobra figures already, I love the Desert Scorpion! Good choice on colors and smooth paint application, it looks like a less is more type situation, I like that there is no camo. Having only a few paint colors really gives it a production quality appearance.

Clean looking figure... almost a tad too practical for my taste in Cobras.

I like what you did with the head cloth...not being fabric really improves the look...you can actually get it to flow or look like it should.

That said, the figure is a tad on the Bland side...he's missing that "POP". adding a single color camo pattern would help to break up the big chunks of Khaki on this figure.

A very cool update of one of my favorite figures from the neon-era. The colours make him just that little bit more suitable for desert ops.
I understand the "pop"-thing Nova said. A camo pattern could work, but maybe a Cobra logo, scorpion logo or some patch on one or both arms would complete the job too.
