Tamiya's translucent "smoke" paint is great for that. |

Thin some gloss black paint with water for oil. Give him some dry drushing for a worn look. Usually mix white with the base color for the drybrush wear. |

I like the dirty look. Perhaps some stains on the knees and chest, like he wiped his greasy hands on 'em. I know my pops always came home covered in grease on him and his clothes. |
