The only Night Force figures I ever had were Charbroil, Crazy Legs and Outback. I sold them off a few years ago, and didn't really miss them at first. However, about a year ago I began reconsidering Night Force as part of my Joe team, and do see a place for them after all. The figures themselves are pretty expensive to track down, so I opted to make my own team instead at a fraction of the price. My goal with the team was to make ot my own, so I didn't want to reuse the same characters...only Outback and Tunnel Rat are carry overs. I also wanted them to fit in with the original Hasbro Night Force as well in case I ever get those figures. there are twelve Night Force figures total, and I will post a few each time over the next week or so. At the time of this posting there is a second wave of Night Force figures planned for next year. Dodger Dodger may not have made my top ten favorite Joe's, but he's number eleven, and that's impressive. Dodger is one of those figures that I love and will look for any excuse to add him to a team. He's been added as a member of my Mega Marine Team, and he was very close to being added to my Dino Hunters team. This figure had been completed early in the spring time, and its a funny coincidence that a recent Coil Con exclusive was a Night Force Dodger Tracker Tracker was one of my favorite figures as a kid, and he played a big role in my Joeverse. Tracker is the only SEAL on the team right now. While most of the Night Force figures are direct repaints, Tracker is a little different; I initially planned to use this figure as a simple LBC putting Tracker's head on the Bullet Proof body. However, when I was putting together my Night Force roster I wanted Tracker on it, and this was the only spare Tracker I had at the time, so I decided to paint it up. Tunnel Rat This figure had been pieced together a long time ago and was originally intended to be my own version of an Sgartz original character called, 12-guage. that idea had been placed on hold when I took a seven year break from customizing. Late last year I found the figure among my parts fodder and decided I would add him to the Night Force team as Tunnel Rat. He was then painted along with the others. This is why, while most of Night Force are direct repaints, Tunnel Rat uses different parts. Tunnel Rat was a part of Hasbro's Night Force team, and since he's one of my favorites, I had to add him to this roster.

Hmm. For some reason, Tracker with a collared shirt doesn't seem to work for me. I see the head, and know who it is supposed to be (and the grenades are there too) but it loses something of the informality that defined the figure for me. This is a guy that showed up on the battlefield in yellow pants, trainers and a t-shirt. I can't see a formal style battle dress kind of thing working to define him. The color choices are good though. Night Force figures need the red and light brown highlights to make them work. While the tone is muted (particularly for the time) Night force figures were actually quite colorful, and it's good to see that you put that into your Tunnel Rat. (which makes him my favourite of the bunch, both of these customs and the original figures.) I do also very much enjoy that Dodger. - R |

Different strokes, I thought he seemed pretty casually dressed still. |

Tracker and Bulletproof wearing the exact same togs in different colors within Night Force bugs me. I think a couple parts being swapped out on Tracker would really help. |

Pretty cool, the dodger even makes the uniform he wears palatable to me, which is saying a lot. |

Dodger's got a strong Colonial Marine vibe going, which is a good thing. |

Another day and another bunch of great-looking customs. It's really cool to see so many at once: it's like that first day in January when the year's new Joes would start showing up in stores and you could ogle the back of the package to see what the new line-up looked like. -Dodger: I've always had a little soft spot for the Dodger mold, probably because it stood in for Colonial Marine armor for me as a kid. The figure looks great in this new color scheme: something about that subtle shift in color and the distribution of it over the entire figure really adds a lot to the mold. -Tracker: this is the second new Tracker figure you've debuted recently, and it's great to see him get some much-needed attention. Another relatively simple concept that looks really great: the Bullet-Proof uniform works well, and I like your willingness to depart from the traditional Night Force colors to add some diversity to the line-up. I would have loved this Tracker as a kid. -Tunnel Rat: first of all, I hadn't thought about that 12-Gauge figure in years, so thanks for reminding me of it! I'm a huge Tunnel Rat fan, so it's always good to see him pop up. I love this figure as an updated take on his distinctive uniform. The chest and arms are a great combination (one I wish I would have thought of), and having that back-up pistol would come in handy in tight quarters. The legs work well, too. I like this look much better than the production NF figure, and that's saying something because I like that version quite a bit. |

Nice work on all of them. I like the use of the tan against the black on Tracker the most. |

You're just trying to push me over the edge aren't you Jogun ? Dodger will always look amazing to me even if he was painted Hot Pink. The weapon in the hand of Night Force Tracker makes the figure pop for me. Very solid. |
