Here are about 1/4th of the modern figure WIPS I've been working on for the last couple of years. Some of these are almost three years old now, but getting them done just seems to get farther and farther away. Ah, well. http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set= ... 481&type=1 If linking to a FB album is taboo, Admin just LMK and I'll host the pics and add links old school style. |

Thanks for the heads up. I'll do it the longer way momentarily. Tired of the pipe-dream of ever owning a City Strike Scarlett, so I'm just making my own. I have the arm-blade laying around somewhere. COBRA De Aco, from a custom I say online (props to the OP). Will have a transparent yellow torso front (silver back) to add a light, chrome head and weapons, and a yellow/black/silver/gray color palette. Should I added a raised area in the middle of the chest before casting to allow for a COBRA logo sticker? Arms and legs will be black, with gray padding bases on the thighs and calves, with yellow armor and pouches with silver forearm guards under the yellow. Silver detail on the black boots. COBRA Mortal, from a custom I saw online (again, props to the OP). Will have a chrome head, torso and thighs with the silver painted accents done in Alclad. COILS Crusher. Just for grins. Torso by TGC Going to sculpt the vest over the bare torso, raise the head up, and bash some similar boots. I may swap the arms for a set of MU Colossus arms and sculpt the armor bits on the outside like the original. Sigma 6 Dark Ninja Master. Transparent red torso with white painted tribal details, white limbs with red painted tribal details, and silver weapons. Will have a sculpted Arashikage symbol in the middle of the chest armor and working sheathes for the knives on the hips. DC Comics Warlord. Lot's of sculpt work to be done on this one. SDS Warlord head, blank hero torso by Asphalt Hunter Artworks, and Kurgan sword from TGC. Dee Jay. From a custom I saw online (props to the OP). Will be turquoise with white armor on the torso, the shoulder radio will clip into place, and the antenna and mic will be integrated into the helmet. Legs will get some re-work before casting. G-11 rifle will be metallic gold. Dragonsky front detail. I know the club is going to do one in their next FSS, but I didn't care for the parts choices on the mockup they showed at Con. Especially the helmet. Color palette will be fuschia/maroon/black/silver with waterslide Soviet stars on the helmet and torso. My Dragonsky will have a water-blasting flamethrower backpack and yours will not. That is all. Cpl. Dwayne Hicks. Life-taker, heart-breaker. SDS torso. Going to extend the torso in the mid-joint, and re-position the arm socket up higher for better astethics. Will also be adding the greaves to the lower legs. The granddaughter of the original Rocketeer. Torso by Stocos, helmet and pack by Darth Leon. As far as I've gotten painting my own GH Marine Dress Blues. Infinite Heroes Plastic Man. Will be using the better GL body instead of the one the head is sitting on. MGS1 Snake. Head by Dave Eggert. Will have a lot of sculpting done to the torso, and the proper added details added using the 12 inch Konami figure as reference. Adventure Team Dr. Mike Power. Neo-Samurai warrior from Tankster. Color palette will be dark brown, metallic bronze and bright red piping. May do light piping eyes. POC Alpine, from my Blizzard molds. Correct jacket courtesy of NotPicard. President Obama. Every Joe team needs a POTUS. Head by Glassman. SDS's version of Resolute Gung Ho. SDS style bash of Ryu Hayabusa from the Ninja Gaiden series. Sgt. Savage. Still have lot's of sculpting to do. Euro Tiger Force Outback. TRON Snake Eyes. Based on the great custom done by my buddy Rich that he showed at JoeCon this year and the Great Texas GI Joe Show last year. |

Dark Ninja Master looks like he is going to be awesome. I'd love for Hasbro to tackle a dress blues Gung Ho. Lots of potential in the other WIPs, but also a long way to go too. |

There are some truly brilliant parts combos at work in there. I feel your pain on unfinished WIPs, btw. |

I am very excited about that Neo Samurai figure you sent me. I spent a couple of hours the other night taking the hot glue out fo the neck and replacing it with epoxy for casting. I was planning to ask you where the upper torso came from. I'd assumed from and IM figure, but I haven't been able to find which one. |
