Okay I've been fiddling with some 12" figures the last few months and finally took the time to photograph what I have done. So sit back and enjoy this giant photo dump of customs. First up is a modification of the Enterbay RM4 Jason Bourne figure. I didn't like the solid neck that the head came with so I decided to make it a balljoint head. I cut off the neck and cleaned up the edges around the bottom of the head. Then I took the neck joint adapter, inverted it, and inserted it into the head creating an internal joint. I had to trim down the edges of the neck adapter but it fit really well and works with the other neck joint the figure comes with really well. I also shortened the figures height but removing the additional ankle height adapters. I outfitted him in the Enterbay clothing set that was released to go with this figure, added in a watch from Hot Toys Nick Fury, a generic pistol and a backpack from a Very Hot Toys set and he's all ready to go. Next up is my ever evolving Aliens Colonial Marine figure. I've futzed with him off and on for a couple years now and I don't think I'll ever be finished with him so I figured I'd post him as he is right now. A Hot Toys body, Alien Killers outfit and weapons, a mix of Very Hot Toys pouches and gear and Sideshow GI Joe weapons, Star Wars Stormtrooper chest armor, Triad Toys shoulder armor and lower leg armor that I picked up on ebay. I'm not a huge Star Wars fan but there are a few things from the universe that I'm a bit obsessed with - Clone Wars era Obi-Wan and Commander Cody. This custom is a post-Clone Wars Commander Cody. After the rise of the Empire, Cody served as a training officer in the new Stormtrooper Corps. But he eventually became disillusioned with the new regime and escaped the Empire through Kal Skirata's clone underground. Cody went to work as a bounty hunter and mercenary. He's made from a SSC Cody with SSC Boba Fett jumpsuit, neck collar and right arm armor. This is my "alternate universe" Mace Windu. When the Jedi confronted Darth Sidious, Windu lost his left arm but was not killed. Instead the Emperor had intended to keep him as a prisoner but he managed to escape with the help of Yoda and Obi-wan. He had his arm replaced with an advanced battle droid arm and continues the fight against the Empire alongside Obi-wan and later Luke Skywalker. This figure came about because I broke the shoulder joint on the Hot Toys body. Originally he sported the HT Obama head but after I received my HT Nick Fury, I used the custom Fury head I made for this figure. Rock 'n' Roll is my favorite G.I. Joe character so when Sideshow released their 12" figure I just had to create some customs using those parts. This first one is a Star Wars version of Rock 'n' Roll. Made from various Sideshow parts including an Endor Rebel uniform, some Clone armor, straps made from a Clone Trooper belt and a Boba Fett helmet. Jedi Knight Rok Enrol was born on the resort world of Amfar. (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Amfar) Unlike most Jedi of the Old Republic, Rok’s Force sensitivity wasn’t discovered until he was in his mid-teens. Due to his late induction into the Jedi Order, he was better suited to “normal” life and he learned to appreciate taking time for recreation. Though he is not as strong in the Force as most Jedi, he makes up for it in sheer determination. Always striving to better himself, Rok has mastered several forms of conventional combat. He has become quite proficient with blasters and rifles and works with weapons developers to improve weapons technology. These skills served him well as a field general during the Clone Wars. In addition to his lightaber, Rok carries a Blastech DC-15A rifle which he has modified to his own personal preferences. While some would see his weakness in the Force as a hindrance, Rok saw it as an opportunity. Growing up in the Temple he had seen many of his fellow Padawans become too reliant on their Force skills and complacent in their training. Striving to better himself he honed his body to peak physical condition. With the blessing of his Master, Rok trained in conventional hand to hand fighting styles as a way to make up for his lack of sensitivity to the Force. In the years leading up to the Clone Wars, as a Jedi Knight, Rok trained young Jedi in physical combat without the use of their Force skills. When the Clone Army was discovered by Obi-wan Kenobi, the Jedi Council sent Jedi Enrol to Kamino to aid and oversee the training of the clone soldiers. During the Clone Wars he so impressed the Mandalorians training the clones that they considered him a brother in arms and when Order 66 was given they helped him escape Kamino and go into hiding. On the run from the Empire, Rok began searching out fellow Jedi and helping them find sanctuary on the Outer Rim. The ARAH version 2 Rock 'n' Roll figure is my favorite version of the character. So I set out to reproduce it in 12" scale. I still need to tweak the belts around his waist and I'm not sold on the hat but for the most part I'm happy with it. |

They are really great, good use of parts for the Colonial Marine. I pretty sure Mace got his right fore arm cut off, but this is your custom, looks great. I like the Mandalore looking half Jedi, but that clip makes his blaster look like a machine gun, cool and creative custom. Rock-n-Roll looks cool, nice job on him. |

I know Mace had the other hand cut off but this alternative universe version lost his whole left arm. I rewrote the story so it would fit the figure. |

The Marine and Cody look fantastic. Jedi RnR must have been fun for you to put together. I think version 2 RnR would have been better for Sideshow instead of the version 1 they released. |

These are truly great figures. I know a lot of 12" collectors who would buy those in a heartbeat. Great job all around. |
