This year I decided to get myself more organized in my customs and posts of them. I came up with these three Customizing New Year's resolutions... 1. Post my customs in 4 different on-going threads (Joe-related, Superheroes, Vehicle/Dio, and Other). 2. Take better photos, and post them more regularly. 3. Actually get some customs submitted to the gallery. I have about 30 figures to post, so I'll post a few each day or so as the CC continues. First up is Bat Sentinel. I loved the Bat-Drones when I saw them in Kingdom Come and through various cartoon incarnations. I finally found the base I wanted to use with an Iron-Monger from one of those WM Black Friday packs. The joints were extremely loose, so I didn't feel so bad customizing it. The next up is an updated Commish. Gordon. My first take on him was using an Indy figure as the base. I have another project in the works that he'll tie into, so I knew I'd need a more poseable version. The Bat-Signal is a little prop I found in the book section at WM. It was a little pricey at $8, but worth it because it actually lights up. Saves me the hastle of having to make one. The last two for today are updates of Swamp Thing and Poison Ivy as elementals. ST uses a Marvel Showdown Venom body, and Ivy is a painted and sculpted Halo figure. |

I love your resolutions, but your customs are even better. I can't wait to see more. That Gordon I find especially fun. |

I'm jealous of Gordon's Bat signal. I know some people don't care for soft goods on their customs but sometimes I think it looks better than the plastic versions. This is one of those instances. Swamp Thing is good but that Poison Ivy is simply amazing. I knew right away what the base figure was and am even more impressed with the work you did on her. My favorite of the bunch is that Bat Sentinel. Such a cool concept and great eye to see this in the base figure. |

Thanks for the kind comments KC and Pluv. I'm really proud of all of them, and there are plenty more coming. I have an alternate Gary Oldmanish head I'll probably post on Gordon later on in the celebration. Ivy was fun to make. Though she doesn't have much in the way of articulation, I wanted to go more into the detailing of the figure to represent her evolution. I have a story of her transformation that I may post when I submit when I add her to the gallery. The sentinel turned out better than I originally planned when the symbol and head feel out of nowhere. The head is the helmet from a Terry McG. Batman Beyond figure. I heated it a tiny bit to see if it would stretch, and you see the outcome. |

Agreed. Every single piece. I have a Gordon I'm really proud of, but holy hell do I like yours. Pluv is right, the softgoods just work there. ST is amazing looking, and looks so effortless, though I know it wasn't Batbot looks super clean. Head and symbol are perfect, and your use of that symbol from the DKR figs gives me an idea on a project I was stumped on. And I SO want that bat signal. Gave me instant nostalgia from the one that came with the old Mego batcave. I will have one! You really amped things up this round |

Thanks again for the kind words, guys. I'm glad you enjoy them, but there's more on the way. To answer a couple of Jeff's questions, the symbol is indeed a batarang from a DKR figure and Gordon's harness is a Renegades TR harness modded with VvV kibble. |

Here's today's batch...a new Image! Just a couple of characters I wanted to interpret and bring into my 'verse. Spartan: the head is a little big. I'm using this one until I find a better option. Savage Dragon: again the head is a place-holder. I placed an order with Rodimus, and the Dragon head he has was on the top of my want list (and the one thing I forgot to order). Spawn and Clown |

Clown is great, Spawn is AMAZING! That SavageDragon is going to rock with the new head - And I don't think that Spartan head looks too bad, maybe just a bad camera angle adding to the size issue? |

Here's today's batch... Star Sapphire: This custom was inspired by Spin's amazing take on the character. I didn't have access to the Enchantress head, so I gave the Storm one a shot. The energy orb is from a Ben-10 figure my son cast away. Green Arrow: Inspired somewhat by the Arrow tv show. I've made Ollie in the past, but I wanted something a little closer to his comic look. Lobo: This figure came out of the air when I received an awesome parts batch in a trade from Tsunami. I hope to get a Swoop bike down the line to make his ride. Hal Stark The Iron Lantern: another interpretation of an Amalgam character. |

all winners. Star Sapphire has really clean lines. Good take on Ollie. I'm slowly becoming a fan of Arrow, where as before it was just background noise while I customized. You try a younger alternate head for him. Lobo is perfect. Yep, perfect. I've seen a lot of take on Iron Lantern and this one is just as good as any. |
