So it’s been ages since I’ve done any customs, but I dusted off my paints and tried my hand at a custom for a friend who collect female action figures. We’re both fans of the Dresden Files so I thought I’d make her a Karrin Murphy to go with the Harry Dresden I put together for her over two years ago. For those of you who haven’t read the series (and you really should) Karrin Murphy is a Chicago Police Detective who works in the Special Investigations Unit. Basically it’s the Chicago PD’s equivalent to the X-Files.

Karrin is an expert marksman, highly gifted investigations officer, black belt in several different martial arts, and superior swordsman, I’ll refrain from explaining the katana, spoilers and what not for those of you who may want to read the books.


Karrin is made from a Renegades Scarlet body, Heavy Metal upper arms and Pit Commando Zartan lower arms, and an Indy Jacket.

i like that she's wearing civilian clothes for the most part. my favorite is the leather jacket.
