  • This section is for honest critique of the work shown here. Members are encouraged to give and accept non-confrontational constructive criticism as well as adoring praise and everything in between.
  • In order to show case everyone's work equally, please post multiple customs on the same day into a single thread. If you have a lot of pictures of your work you may have to add them to a separate post within that thread.
  • Please do not link to a sale thread or to eBay from your critique thread. This section isn't to be used to market your finished work. The Market Place section is better suited for that purpose.

Was messing around with parts from the fodder bin this week I discovered that Dr.Strange would make the perfect Triple J. also, after acquiring a Prof X MU figure I started to make Clark. Need glasses and cant find my Henry Jones at the moment.(If anyone has a pair they want to get rid of send a PM) Bruce is just a painted TriGate head that I've had laying around for awhile so just a place holder until I put it to good use.Thanks for looking leave feedback.

So I like the parts choices. I like the color palette. The faces on Jameson and Bruce are... rough. Not sure if it was the paint of the heads. Have you tried toothpicks to help with the eyes?

Have had that same head set aside for JJ for awhile now. So of course I think that's a good parts choice ;)

I have to agree. The parts are good. The colors are perfect. The paint is a little rough. I use rubbing alcohol instead of water when I paint. The acetone in it has helped make any paint I use a whole lot smoother. I can't recommend it enough to you. These are good, but you can easily do better.

Thanks for the comments guys.(sgcaper and Pluv) I think it could be the camera that I'm using that is making them look boogered up as they dont look like that in hand.I will probably redo the eyes with toothpicks though as I forgot that step and I'll remember the rubbing alcohol trick in the future. Should have a lot more real soon as I'm getting more fodder parts this weekend at Monroeville Toy Show.

I think the height for Bruce is perfect. He's a Hollywood guy. They're all short.

I will vouch for pluv's paint technique. I use acetone to smooth out the lumps on my paints all the time and it makes a world of difference.
