Well I needed to work tonight and get some listings up on on the net but our internet had an outage for about 8 hours so I worked on customs instead.
Made a lot of progress with my modern Thunderhawk get it done and then I am going to do an old school Thunderhawk.

So I got the hinges on but still have several pieces that I have to make slide.

Started with a solid Accura remote control car and did alot of cutting and gutting.

Bottoms of the doors are not on slides yet so they are taped in out position for the moment

The rest of the pics are converted to jet mode.

Not sure what happened, but I ended up with 3 of these posts. LOL

I edited the other two away or at least as away as I know how to make them go.

Looks real good, like it was meant to be that way.

I would love to keep this one or the classic one when I get it done but for the next year or so I am customizing purely for profit so I guess I will have to price it high enough that it will take a while to sell or end up making myself one in a couple of years.

The cutting was pretty tedious, once I got that done then I had it all cut apart sitting waiting for me to get up the ambition to attack the hinges and sliding pieces. Hinges were a pain in the rump and my finger tips are all coated in jewelery glue but they are finally on. Making the door spoilers, back spoiler and jet engines slide is not going to be much fun either most likely. Hopefully will not let them keep me scared away now that it is so close to being done.

The classic will not be an exact match. It is going to be made out of an 81 Trans Am instead of mid 80's IrocZ but should be close enough. One hang up I have is that it was an actual 1:18 vehicle with opening doors and no windows. The opening doors is not a big deal but not sure what I am going to do to replace the windows so the doors will be connected to the hood for the gull wing action. Still pondering how to do that and make it strong enough to handle being opened and closed, but I have a little while before I have this one done and have to tackle that issue. LOL
