Funny thing about that truck I actually had it finished at one point but when I moved it came apart so I'm still re-thinking a few things shouldn't too long. Thanks for the push Doc and Dremel |

Vehicle glue. When dealing with regular styrene model glue is plenty strong enough but alot of plastic vehicles are of a harder plastic that model glue will not melt. A couple of options. All purpose (not just the PVC the one that says all purpose) plumbing cement that you find in the plumbing section of your hardware store. This stuff works great for harder plastics that do not melt as easy but you have to watch on your softer plastics that you do not use too much. Another awesome product I found in Walmart craft section is Aleene's Jewlry and Metal glue. it is like a thick (think model glue) extra strong super glue for non porous surfaces. I found this when trying to figure out how to attach my metal hinges for my doors on my thunder hawk. I have even used it to glue the rubber figure harnesses back together with awesome results. I also often like using two part epoxy that comes in the tubes. And best yet if you can hide a screw some where for some extra strength. |
