I remember checking out your other movie ST figs - but can you help put this in context? Is this a repaint, a new build? Also, would love to see a group shot. |

Thanks, guys. The head, arms, and legs are from Mego's Ilia. The torso is a Fischer Price Adventure People figure with lots of modifying. I don't have the first three figures anymore as they've already made their way to my friend. The Mego heads are damned well sculpted, but were molded in a buttery plastic that didn't show off the work the sculptor did. I'm going to have to make a cast of the bald Ilia head because it's a perfect starting point for female heads. No sanding or pulling off of the rubber "wigs" most female heads have. Just sculpt on the hair as you want it... Majel Roddenberry's face, with a longer and lower jawline and a nose that was starting to dip just a bit, looked much different than the actress, Persis Khambatta, whose face was used for the Ilia head sculpt. But with the right hair sculpting and some age lines, it looks good enough to pass for Dr. Chapel.
