I find the Cobra Desert multi-pack rather disappointing... rather than try and make established Cobra specialty troops like Desert Scorpions, Sand-Vipers, Desert C.L.A.W.S. or desert-style versions of army builder specialties like Incinerators and Toxo-Vipers... we just got a bunch of Vipers and Troopers hurriedly reaccessorized. Compared to the awesomeness of the classic army builders, these guys were just bleh.
But, maybe that's just me.

In any case, the desert flamethrower Viper that was packed in this set proved to be a great base for a Desert C.L.A.W.S.
The helmet didn't want to take paint well, so I had to leave it "v1-styled", but fortunately it matches the red gear on the rest of the body so it doesn't end up out of place.

Head: POC Sandstorm
Body: Desert Flamethrower Viper
Helmet: Spy Troops Grunt
Cannon: Star Wars Joker Squad guy
Uzi: 25th Iron Grenadier

Thanks for looking!

looks pretty cool, and I agree. I think they do that a lot, lets reuse parts and give them different crap. jumble it all around a bit. Granted, that what a lot of us do here but we aren't trying to market a toy line either.

Well, yeah, I get why and so long as the final product looks good, I don't mind... I just think it's a bit cheap and lazy to just slap a Viper head on a Barbecue body and give it desert colors and call it a day instead of thinking a little bit harder and frankensteining up an Incinerator or a Shock-Viper instead.
