I got General Colton mostly for this. Making a John McClane. Took me sometime to choose the parts and to be honest I'm not 100% satisfied. First the shirt should have been white my wife noticed this. Actually I began with white but because I didn't like the paint apps decided to go grey. But the most disturbing things is the jacket I think it's a bit small for him. Any suggestions for jacket let me know :D

Parts list
Head: Retaliation Gen. Colton
Torso: 25th green shirt
Arms: Indiana Jones
Hands: Retaliation Gen. Colton
Legs: Retaliation Gen. Colton with added gun holster
Jacket: Indiana Jones

Yeah, that jacket's too small for Joe figures. Looks okay on the girls, not so much the guys, And that greenshirt body is a but on the broad shouldered side, which doesn't help the jacket. Dunno what alternative there is, though. On my Greyryder V3 (that I really need to make a thread for) I started with a torso sculpted as a closed jacket, dremeled out the front, and resculpted it to look open.

If you're feeling really adventurous with that shirt, there's a miniature figure painting technique, that uses lighter hued washes on a darker base. The final effect is similar to drybrushing, but a bit more even, and you can get better blending. Also lets you control how much contrast you have. You've already got the perfect base color for white, using that method.

Tiny jacket aside, he looks solid.
