The following is a project I did for a contest on Facebook

*thump thump*
Okay, this is Cobra Island security officer Sorensen, designate Crimson Shadow, operator ID 56483a. The date is November 1, 1986, 6:46 am. Present at the interview is Doctor Mindbender of Cobra Science Division, here to discuss the disturbance in the lower levels of TD7 in the late hours of October 31 1986...

Okay, Doctor, can you tell us what it is that you do in TD7?

*cough*
"No, I can't"

The logs show that Mindbender is designated head of Project Serpentor, assigned to the laboratory levels of TD7, security clearance designate highest levels. Ok, then Doc, the door logs show you've been keeping some extremely odd hours...

"Yes. I've been having a lot of trouble sleeping the last several nights. I walk to sort my thoughts."

Fair enough... Have you seen anything unusual on these midnight walks? Prior to last night I mean?

"Well... No, not... Seen..."

Excuse me?

"Well lab 7 is a very peculiar place. I constantly hear noises, voices, even. But never seen... B-before..."

Before last night. And these voices... Did you ever report these occurrences?

"No... I could never account for them... You see, I've a bit of a reputation... "

Yes. A bit if a "kook", they say. Okay, Doc. I'm going to play back the security footage from last night, corridor 7. Why don't you walk me through your impressions of what's happening?

"*sigh...* Very well."

I was walking to the snack machines for some chocolate milk, and noticed it was quite chilly...

Then I had a dreadful feeling like I was being watched... I heard a slight rustle behind me. A few moments later, the noises start...

Just gone, huh... Just like that?

"Just like that... It was very peculiar"

Yea.... And they just came at you, chattering in other languages? More than one?

"Yes, several. I don't... Speak them though, so I don't know... They were saying..."

Ok, and you don't know who could be behind this?

"N-no... No clue... Should I?"

You tell me, Doc. You tell me...

I made a total of 8 ghosts for this project, which is something I've wanted to do for a very, very long time. Turned out it was a lot of fun experimenting with these, so some of them are kind or weird looking in the light. Like most of your moms. :rimshot: They were all made using Dr Mindbender as a base. I have removed the figure from a few of them, but most still have him in there. They all have completely removable hoods.

Wow, what inspired you to use tissues to create the ghosts? And how did you do the dripping blood on some of them?

Well, I was talking over the idea with my customizing peer group, because I've wanted to make some ghosts for a very long time, and I wanted something very thin, that the light could play through. I thought maybe tissues or fabric softner sheets soaked in school glue. It was also suggested to me to use a very high thread count fabric, but I am too cheap to go that route. So I just sat down and did it. Never even tried the fabric softner. I think it would have been too stiff anyway. Also, Joemichaels told me how he had done something similar with the glue, so I figured this was the way to go. I was expecting a more vinyl sort of finish than what I got, but this is perfectly fine for what my needs were.

The colors were at first an accident. I used an old placemat of my daughters that she used to color on, that had some marker on it. The first few kind of soaked up the color from the marker, which gave me the idea to try and do that intentionally. I colored red marker all over the mat before I did the next few, so it would soak up the red color. Didn't quite work out like I'd hoped though. It soaked it up as pink, and it soaked up up a lot more than I expected it to. So those I only use for the darkness shots, where the color basically disappears anyway.

Thanks for the comments! It was sort of a fun easy project.
