This is a straight up steal from another board member (who I hope to identify tomorrow)

Figure is ROC Ripcord & War Machine (thanks Kilcarr) with the 'lil DC Manta helmet:

The "lil Manta" head works much better than I thought it would. And I love everything about this guy except the lower legs - they just look too big compared to the rest of the body.

Unless you're thinking they have little hydro-jets or something built-in?

Yep, a combo of underwater jets plus deep sea diver 'weight' boots - they don't look all that bad when the fig isn't in 'dynamic' poses - they look more organic & functional

Yea, I love this figure on a very intimate level. Counterpoint to Chief, I love the lower legs. I love everything about this honker, and I don't really even know much about the character.

Lil' Manta = Imaginext. I know because I've been keeping an eye on it ever since so I could copy this idea too. You might want to do a little silver/grey dry brushing on the lower legs to match the rest of the body.

I honestly thought about - mainly because taking off the joe logo with acetone shinied up the chest plate. Looking closely at the ROC weathering on this fig, it looks to be a grey/purple tone that I knew I couldn't match, and would have to re-do the entire figure. Which would mean I'd need to wash the helmet, too, which means I would have had to put a base of mod-podge down it to give the wash something to bite to (probably the war machine parts, too) Since I was just trying to do something quick, that seemed like more than I wanted to tackle last night ...

I dig it. A lot. Very cool. The only thing that distracts me is the gun belt. Not sure what I'd add, maybe one that looked more like a weight belt?

That looks fantastic! I think the boots look good because of what they are supposed to do, and the helmet does look just right.

I'd kind of like to see more hoses... just because.

Is that Imaginext figure still out? I suppose I could try that with my extra Cloak figure.
