Although this looks like an easy custom to do painting the yellow was a stich. I used a Captain America body and sculpted the helmet and shield

I dig the use of the head. Also, outstanding sculpting. Do you use plumbers tape and sculpt right onto the head itself? |

Excellent work. If I hasn't known you had painted the yellow, I would have assumed it was factory work. Any tips you can share for yellow paint? |

My secret for Yellow, white or any lighter color is spray paint the lighter color then, apply the darker to make your lines pop. I use plumbers tape to help make crisp lines. Since not every spray paint dries on plastics I use paints for polycarbonates. They come in primary colors witch closely match comic book colors. |

Sheesh and they call me Mr. Patience, thanks for the nick-name Chief... Anyhoo, I used Pactra paint for lexan r/c car bodies. It comes in spray and brush on. I also use Tamiya paints for polycarbonates. Even though they mostly come in primary colors that work best for heroes I base paint all of my customs with them. Then I use citadel paints and another like it for my brush on finish work. |

thx Are the Pactra and the Tamiya for the same types of plastics? Or do you differentiate, and if so based on what? I had some spray paint tack up on a figure recently, and I want to try to maximize the results. |
