It's been almost two years since I felt the need to update my Superman. But once I saw the Tim Bruckner sculpted DC Direct version shrunk down to 4" size from Starwarsgeek.net I had to have it. I still consider my v2 my definitive version only because it has a smaller frame that I feel works better for Supes. Also the head appears to be a bit larger in the pics than it does in person. I'll have to update with new photos later and try to correct that. Also the hands are place holders until I find the painted Marvel Universe ones that have run off on me.

Here's two new pics using the Super Powers cape. I think I like it a lot better. Which do you prefer?

I'm really torn on this issue.

I get why people use softgoods capes at this scale. And I've tried it myself a number of times. The ability to have a figure sit without having to take off its cape is a huge bonus. But just sitting on a display shelf, the cloth never looks right to me.

I guess I prefer the plastic cape for that reason. Maybe keep them both and swap as needed?

I'm the opposite of Spin - I much prefer softgoods for capes and the like, and will use the plastic ones only if in a pinch.

that said, I'm not a fan of the way the superpowers cape attaches to the neck, and I think that would be a deal breaker for me.

Have to agree with drbindy, I pref the softgood cloaks.

With my Superman (still use my Beefed Up Microman as Mine). I glued the shoulder parts to the shoulder just like the molded one (above) Looks to attach.
Best of both worlds then.
