It has been a while since I posted here, I mainly come by to see all the great works of art and figure builds. So at this point I guess it is my turn to show my first pieces.

The clear coat is very shiny I'm going to have to buy some matte clear.

The first head I didn't paint the flesh tone the other I did, I wanted to see how well the paint apps stood out with and without the flesh being painted.

Thanks for checking them out.

Very nice work. What kind of paints and brushes did you use? Any tips you can share?

Let's start out by saying that re purposing the missiles as head holders is brilliant.

I don't think that the heads being shiny is really an issue if these guys are stand alone, but you could always use a magic eraser brushed very lightly to take she shine off rather than using another matte coat.

If this is indeed your first effort, it's a really good one.

I used a #3 brush, the paints I kept with the norm acrylic I just bought some from walmart and the hobby store just to try some out. As for my applications I just took my time but I would recommend investing in a magnifying glass and a adjustable clamp. I was not sure I was going to be able to finish these because of the eyes and eyebrows, they are really small details. You could try tooth picks I read somewhere that is a good tool for painting eyes and such.

Plus, I'm envious of your eye painting skill.

Thanks and I had to put those things to use somehow I was getting tired of seeing them just lay around. :)

Not bad at all.

The left eyebrow on the second head is a little crazy as it gets toward the nose, but I really had to look to notice.

Consider that idea stolen. Way too many missiles for my own good.
