As a long time "Doctor Who" fan, I wanted to bring some of the cooler, little seen classic series Dalek variants into the modern series design aesthetic. NOTE - in my "Universe" there are multiple black Daleks known as the "Obsidian Order", unlike the modern canon Universe in which only Dalek Sek had a black casing. Claw Daleks The two non-canon Peter Cushing "Dalek" movies of the mid 60's produced a rather interesting variation on the standard Dalek. Instead of the traditional "plunger" manipulator arm, an articulated claw was used on several of the full scale props so the Dalek's could interact better with the actors. Pyro Burner Daleks The 60's serial "The Daleks' Master Plan" saw a trio of Daleks fitted with flame throwers for clearing a dense jungle region in place of their gun arms. I decided to replace the manipulator arms on my custom versions as I feel that post-Time War Daleks would rather keep their offensive weapons and sacrifice dexterity instead. I can imagine Daleks of this variant shouting "In-cin-er-ate! In-cin-er-ate! In-cin-er-ate!" as they advance on their victims. Buzzsaw Daleks While not from an actual classic episode or movie, a prose short story from one of the "Doctor Who Annuals" described a Dalek with a buzzsaw in place of it's plunger arm cutting through some chains. Imagine the horror of one of these Daleks backing a victim into a corner while shouting "E-vis-er-ate! E-vis-er-ate! E-vis-er-ate!" as it slowly advances. Black "Assault" Dalek While not from the classic series, I wanted to add a few of the "Assault" (3-fingered claw hand w/cutting torch in the center) Daleks to the ranks of my Obsidian Order. A standard bronze Dalek of this configuration was seen in the 2005 episode "The Parting Of The Ways". I made 3 of them for this project. My Dalek Army: |

I appreciate these but my wife adores them. She doesn't understand why I don't make Doctor Who figures. Nice work from both of us. |

Thanks I HATE the wooden Cyberman I am planning some more future "Doctor Who" customs, but they have no set start dates, waiting for more solid parts combos to appear in my brain Gwest- it wasn't really all that expensive to amass all of these figures. http://Www.whona.com has the figures available for $10-$12 each depending on character (most are $10 with the Daleks being higher as they are more desirable). |

I saw these when they were first posted and was like, "R2-D2 can do that, can do that, can do that, can do that..." Nice mods, Spectre. Can't wait to see them running around your custom sets. |
