  • This section is for honest critique of the work shown here. Members are encouraged to give and accept non-confrontational constructive criticism as well as adoring praise and everything in between.
  • In order to show case everyone's work equally, please post multiple customs on the same day into a single thread. If you have a lot of pictures of your work you may have to add them to a separate post within that thread.
  • Please do not link to a sale thread or to eBay from your critique thread. This section isn't to be used to market your finished work. The Market Place section is better suited for that purpose.

Only thing I'm not digging is the tiny "Popeye" effect of the forearms of the blue shirt version. But I really like where you went with these. Just about every aspect of Chuckles is covered and done really well.

I agree the pics make the forearms look like Popeye but in hand they don't look like that.

Awesome sauce (do the kids still say that?). Looks great! Did you make some kind of a stamp to do the flowers?

Thanks. None of my students say that.

You know what, I actually did the flowers twice, I painted over my first attempt really unhappy with how they came out. When I did my second attempt I was still really unhappy with them so I started to paint over them again. When i did this I didn't have enough paint on my brush and ended up doing a light drybrushing of blue. I did this to the rest to see what it would do, it hides some of the crappiness of the paint job. I was so frustrated I didn't want to try again and this is the result.

Not sure how a stamp would work with the varying folds and contours of the body but it might be worth a try.

Great update and original concepts for Chuckles. Always liked that character and this is his best looks yet.
