When I saw Right of Might's Rolling Thunder Clap I knew I had to build my own vehicle based around that cannon. So a year and a half or so later I finally got around to it. I will also include some WIP pictures as an exclusive to Joecustoms critique viewers. Hope you guys like it.

The custom features include four side mounted machine guns, I made those from Scrap Irons missile boxes and Thunder Machine gun barrels. A drivers hatch and window frames made from styrene. I used Stun wheel caps and added a small front gun from the Rattler. I really hated how the original one is so long. I also built up the side gun chair so the guy doesn't look like he could easily fall out.

:wow:

That thing must have incredible brakes to withstand the blast force, otherwise it needs a retractable piece (spade, trail, etc) out the back to absorb the recoil.

It may actually be more realistic than the original though. Launching ballistic missiles from inside a vehicle would probably be a one time deal and leave little left.

I like it. I think just a few blobs of dark grey camo could help it out a bit but the build is perfect.

It's a good idea and I had thought of it. Maybe someday but for now I like the grey. I almost didn't post these pictures because the sun makes it look more blue. It's actually a really dark grey.

If it were real the recoil would probably rip it in half.

It's a cannon,it's like a portable Battle Ship gun. But yeah I imagine Cobra drives it to a perfect firing location then it unleashes it's massive fire power on the Joes. It could also change locations but I don't imagine it could fire the cannon while moving. The secondary weapons are too make sure it gets where it needs to go.

Thanks. I've been working on this for a long time now. I was close to painting it Crimson Red.

The color and build are perfect. One of your best.
